AorMos started out as a DJ when he was 15 years old and enjoyed playing electronic music for more than two decades. At first he played with the sounds closest to the House scene, to make a leap to Minimal at the end of 2000. And that year he became interested in all aspects of Techno, from its purest roots, spinning the most melodic vibrations. , deep sounds and progressive aspects and always looking at producers and record labels that offer great quality in their productions.
Since April 2016 he has hosted his radio show "Modulating the air" on cosmosradio.de

We’re wishing you well during this Yuletide season with a Moonlight Mixtape straight from the land of fire and ice. Hailing from Reykjavík, Iceland, Leon S. Kemp is a DJ, producer, and co-founder of organic house mainstay @nordicvoyage recordings.

When we asked him about holiday celebrations unique to his corner of the North, Kemp descrbed Þorrablót, a midwinter feast that showcases a variety of traditional food preservation methods crucial for survival through dark and isolated North Atlantic winters. Þorrablót is a celebration that highlights the Icelandic tradition of resilience in order to manifest joy and connection even in the darkest time of year. Kemp invokes light into his own musical practice—or, as he says, he uses music “as a conduit to transcend darkness and usher in brightness and positivity.”

Kemp opens the hour with a soft static whirlwind that recalls billowing snow before illuminating us with an infusion of world influences and global rhythms. He layers melodic techno, hints of nineties-era electronica, and deep Latin house over an organic-Afro groove as he dances between the darkness and the daylight. This mix - the heat, the mood, and the atmosphere - reflects the complex and shifting terrain of Iceland almost as well as it parallels the diversity of ways in which we, as listeners around the world, celebrate our own new beginnings. 

And so, whether you’re waking to snowfall or (for our Southern Hemisphere friends) set for a scorcher today, this mix will keep you in the mood all day long. Cheers!
