Spring 2018 saw Mexican artist Hot Tuneik debut on Proton Music with "Revival". Now returning to the EP, new remixes from esteemed producers provide a fresh new perspective.

Taking the underground dance scene by storm with his distinctive and highly sought-after sound, Matty Doyle has found considerable success with his Matter pseudonym. Through a combination of "deep synth lines, driving bass and pulsating rhythms", the Australian producer has found his music signed to a host of blue-chip imprints that include Replug, JOOF and Anjunadeep. A regular across Particles and Proton Music, his work for the latter combines stunning collaborative material with fellow countryman, GMJ, in the shape of "Superposition" and "Osmosis", with equally impressive solo work that saw the scintillating "Pronoia" and "We Are Dust" EPs hit the virtual shelves in December 2016 and November 2017. Reworks of Dousk, Biologik and Cristian R have also illustrated Matter's silky production skills as he now returns for a fourth solo outing. Taking on the title track, the essence of Hot TuneiK's original components can be heard within the Matter interpretation of "Revival" as shimmering delayed chords and smooth grooved bassline stand out. Building intelligently with a raft of additional production material, a new bassline progression appears at the mid-point breakdown to supply depth and intrigue while a sumptuous beat and head-shaking groove keep the energy high throughout.

The 'double-headed dragon' that comprises the Lanvary production duo, has seen Alex and Andrew become a major force in the electronic music scene. Diverse musical perspectives have seen the pair delight with a musical recipe that combines elements from progressive and deep house with techno flourishes in a distinct and unique sound. Over a century of production credits can be found next to the Lanvary name since an early debut for Underphunk in late 2010. Going on to see their music featured on Stellar Fountain, Mistique Music and Particles, their work for the latter has found success with a trio of original EPs in 2015's "Micromegas", 2016's "Penumbra" and 2017's "Leviathan". Lanvary's work for Proton Music is centred around the superb "Venus" in December 2017, while a pair of remixes for Matter is now followed by a wonderful reworking of "Memories". Hitting hard with dominant beat and ticking off-beat percussion, a sumptuous bass groove quickly makes its presence felt as the melodic elements of the original resonate through the Lanvary interpretation. The pulsating string motifs from Hot TuneiK's track rise and fall throughout and a host of new production material supply dynamic dance-floor credentials to keep club-goers happy with a seamless blend of rhythm and melody.

Hot TuneiK's "Revival" is complete as new remixes from Matter and Lanvary reinvent and revitalise.

Far less often than I would like or plan to do so, I produce music. As I have become busier in other areas of the underground dance scene, the time between tracks also increases. So, following up on my "Breathless" EP for Proton Music in March 2011, I'm extremely proud to now release "Opiate" with remixes from LADS and Michael A.

Heavily influenced by the sounds of Stephan Bodzin, Patrice Baumel and ARTBAT, "Opiate" started life as intro I'd written for another project. It sat on my hard drive waiting to be turned into a full track and I'm indebted to Jamie Stevens for helping me turn it into something I feel is quite special. Driven by a desire to create cascading arpeggio melodies with a deep resonating bassline and driving beat, the result was sculpted into shape with the help of Jamie's exacting eye for detail and encyclopaedic production knowledge.

The first remix comes from German and South African duo, LADS. Luc Angenehm has produced some amazing tracks for Proton Music under his own name before joining forces with Deep Suite. The 2016 "Kaiserkraft" and "Isabel" EP were glorious examples of Angenehm's work before the pair came together to create the stunning "Miss Jean" and "Hagel" EPs in September 2017 and May 2018. Other work for You Plus One and Nie Wieder Schlafen have showcased burgeoning talents while LADS have also been regulars on my Visceral radio show and compilation series. Reworking "Opiate", LADS have created a beautifully delicate and elegant interpretation that focuses on one of the key melodic themes, combined with an untreated vocal cut, to create a sublime remix. Adding a stripped back rhythmic foundation, a new stepped arpeggio sits atop in exquisite synchrony with emotive bassline to create a very special new version.

Belarusian, Michael A, is another artist who has had a very strong relationship with Proton Music since his February 2017 "Bright Hope" debut. "Symbol", "My Style" and "Aura Tears" quickly followed throughout the rest of 2017 and early 2018. As prolific as he is talented, Michael's work has continued to find its way on to a host of stellar imprints that include Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat, Cid Inc.'s Replug and Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital, additionally supported by the likes of Nick Warren and Guy J. Over 750 production credits now grace the Belarusian's portfolio as he continues to chart an all-conquering path through the underground dance scene. With a typically melodious approach, the Michael A remix takes "Opiate" on a rip-roaring voyage that harnesses the central arpeggio motif from the original and builds a luxurious and textured new reworking around it. Combining a host of additional production work, a new arpeggio riff can be heard as textured chord progressions, rich bassline and white-noise infused effects sparkle over seven-and-a-half minutes. A sumptuous rolling groove adds further to another sparkling Michael A remix.

Remixes from LADS and Michael A have seen "Opiate" hit a new high.

Three months after the first remix EP, we're proud to show you the second- and final pack of fresh reworks for Paul Hazendonk's Signature Series!

Paul personally selected the artists who have each remixed one of the songs from his Signature Series trilogy. These artists are amongst his personal favorites and the sound they bring to the table reflect the philosophy of his labels- as well as his sound as a DJ; versatile, not limited to one particular genre but all in a certain mood / vibe.

We kick things off with Australian legend Jamie Stevens who has picked the 'Every Moment Matters' song to remix. He delivers a perfect crossover progressive house / melodic house tune with shuffling rattling rhythms. A proper euphoric tension builder!

Next up its Hungarian artists and Truesounds label bosses Peter Makto & Gregory S who have taken on the remix duties for 'Treffen'. They've turned it into a deeper, subtle version with its warm chords and strings. A lovely twist when compared to the original version.

We end things with Manual's latest resident signing Kamadev. The Miami based artist recently made his label debut with the incredibly well received 'Break Through' single, shortly after followed by 'Lawo' which is part of our free download series. Now we see him remixing 'Derelicte' and the result is nothing short of spectacular. Keep an eye out for this guy!
