Madloch’s Sound Avenue rounds out the month of July by welcoming Forty Cats back to the label for her debut EP. With well over a decade’s worth of DJ experience, Russian artist Christina Gavrilova aka Forty Cats has been a fixture of her country’s nightlife, sharing the stage with Jody Wisternoff, Nick Warren, Yotto, Dave Seaman and more. Christina’s production debut landed three years ago via 8bit Music, and in relatively short order the Russian artist has gone on to release projects via Lane 8’s This Never Happened, Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Mango Alley. Also finding a home on Sound Avenue, Forty Cats opened the year with a remix of ‘Dreaming Home’ by Eric Lune, before going on to re-imagine Nopi’s ‘Hookan Idyll’ a few short months later. Now as we enter the year's third quarter, Forty Cats returns to Sound Avenue with her first EP project entitled ‘Forest Beast’, alongside remixes from Berni Turletti and Weird Sounding Dude.

Forty Cats - Infinite Gradient [Sound Avenue]

'Raven / Changes' is the new two-original EP by argenitian producers Teleport-X @teleportx and Agustín Ficarra @agustinficarra , which is completed by two remixes by Spanish Integral Bread @integralbread and also Argentinian Andrés Moris @andrees-moris 

The tandem formed by Teleport-X and Agustín Ficarra results in a perfect symbiosis, where each producer contributes his skills to achieve a progressive house sound, full of emotional atmospheres and psychedelic elements.

Andrés Moris's remix offers a less hypnotic version, which uses of several elements of the version in addition to adding the sounds and grooves that characterize this young producer.

Univack's boss Integral Bread provides a remix that is somewhat different from what this veteran Spanish producer has accustomed us to. His version of 'Changes' is closer to pure Progressive House, with less dark elements and a global groove that develops until almost the end of the track.

Making their debut on Manual Music, Dutch duo Around Us present their album ‘Reaching Home’. Here's the second EP leading up to the LP release later this year.

Based in Amsterdam, Around Us first emerged in 2018, quickly establishing themselves as a rising act with releases via Balkan Connection’s BC2 and long-standing Dutch imprint LuPS Records. World class DJ and progressive music tastemaker Hernan Cattaneo was the first to chime in with support. Showcasing one of the duo’s early productions ‘Sleeping Blue’ as part of his hugely popular Resident podcast. A bond with the Manual Music collective was also formed early on, as the well-received ‘Voyager’ EP landed in 2019 courtesy of label affiliate Cinematique. Four years later and Around Us now sits on a well-kept resume, with key projects on Click Records, Clubsonica, Freegrant Music and Manual Music’s progressive minded MNL division, all serving as vehicles for the duo’s deep and groovy sounds. Continuing on an upwards trajectory, Around Us now presents their first ever album project entitled ‘Reaching Home’ care of Paul Hazendonk’s Manual Music.

Around Us’ capacity for storytelling - both comforting and challenging - resonates across the album’s second showcase piece ‘Homecoming’. Shot in high-definition and full of detail and idiosyncrasies, it's a poignant voyage where the duo explores a storyboard of indistinct vocal arrangements, balmy swells and meandering musical coactions. The duo reaffirms their instinctive ability to tip a dancefloor over the edge with ‘I Got This’, planting multiple explosions of serotonin through fluttery synths, panoramic arps and retro acid lines, before confidently returning to the groove for a sweeping aerial final. 

Continuing on a lighter monochrome, it is the haunted atmospherics and wavy motifs of ‘New Dawn’ which melt down into the soundscape science of ‘Good Enough’, a downtempo creation where vocal wails steal the air against a backdrop of arpeggiated acrobatics.

The latest release welcomes Arbey Gonzalez from Colombia back to the label with his "Aralea EP". The original got released last month on the "Fall Sampler'. Anderson, Mr.Mind, Emmanuel Toscano & Max Averbach got invited to do a remix.

Founded in 2020 Future Avenue is an electronic music imprint which operates under the Sound Avenue umbrella. Sitting alongside fellow subdivisions 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds, Future Avenue looks to provide a home for new and rising talent. With an ethos centred around progressive music and its surrounding derivatives, the label is a platform which gives up and coming artists a chance to showcase their music alongside established veterans as they carve out their own musical identity.

Facundo Borras makes his return on MNL after his Oathkeeper release and remix for Audiogliders' Oxygeneration single earlier this year. This time he presents two fresh tracks; Whispers From Dawn and Herogasm, a collab with Leandro Caceres.

We also welcome David Calo and Ruben Karapetyan on board, each taking on remix duties for one of the originals.
