MANUAL DEEP - LATEST RELEASES

Frequent collaborators Amir Telem and Radical Fantasy return with a brand new EP titled ‘Gifts of Nature’, presenting a luxurious and ethereal sound that is easy on the ears. 

The opening title track, Gifts of Nature, comes in hot. Taking you deep into the jungle of their minds, the Tel-Aviv based pair immediately present an infectious, driving bassline, topped with steel pan drums and haunting, beautiful vocal samples.

Soft synth lines soar in the background throughout, while the producers slowly introduce dreamy keys that bring to mind the classic house melodies of the past.

Half way through the track they slow things down, encouraging us to reflect on how much we owe Mother Nature, before launching back into a pulsing beat and those playful piano keys that will delight dancefloors.

Rain, the EP’s second track, is gentler, and more melancholic. A wistful saxophone plays slowly over a hypnotising drum beat that thumps with purpose, filling the listener’s ears with bass while allowing the gorgeous melodies to breathe.

The producers pair the saxophone with dreamy piano lines and more pitched up vocals, taking you on a calming, emotional journey that’s full of energy.

The EP comes with two remixes, one from Baez and one from Flowers on Monday. Baez gives us his interpretation of Gifts of Nature, which is dubby and intensely groovy. 

His version uses skippy synth lines and staccato vocal chops over a plonky, rolling bassline, and climaxes with a pulsing laser display that will be an instant hit in clubs.  

Flowers on Monday take a more serene route on their remix of Rain. Floating vocals rise and fall in the back, while joyous chords push the track forwards over upbeat drums. A break in the middle never loses the groove as it puts the chopped vocals and those powerful chords front and centre, before it drops back into its head-nodding beat.

Adam Nathan is a London-born, Toronto-raised DJ and producer quickly making a name for himself on the global deep house scene. Previously collaborating under various monikers and part of Toronto’s influential Release Records crew, Adam is now unveiling potent solo tracks under his name. This new EP for Viva Recordings, titled Hyacinth, is his second for the label, and has the well-honed sound of a studio veteran, with a smooth, warm sound and emotive passages. Adam’s roots as a drummer come through with the stripped down emphasis on rhythm, while melodic flourishes and dynamic builds play masterfully on top. 
The EP opens with ”Hyacinth”, featuring dramatic strings and a fine, pulsating kick drum. The cut builds in a mesmerizing fashion, like the beautiful unfolding of this flower in Spring. “Soul Council” gets into even deeper territory, with deep and melodic inspirations, echoing some of the earlier work on the label. “Wave Hands Like Clouds”, finishes the EP off with dreamlike touches. Synth stabs, percussion that rolls, and the blissful strings will have you soaring. Float away on these deep vibes.

A seasoned performer and talented producer, Michael Ritter finds himself at the forefront of modern underground dance from his Berlin home. Much in-demand with DJ appearances across Europe, in Amsterdam, Ibiza, Hamburg and his Berlin hometown, a production career in tandem has seen Michael feature on the likes of Obenmusik, YOMO Records and Aesthetika. Meanwhile, his Grey Bar Hotel imprint also serves as a vehicle for his own production and remix material.

Reworking “To Follow”, the Michael Ritter remix provides a deeper, up-tempo vibe that takes the central themes of the original and extends them into a stunning new interpretation. Making elegant use of Ghenwa Nemnom’s Qanun playing, Michael creates a sub-bassline and ticking percussive groove framework that adds depth and dancefloor credentials to the organic instrumentation. Glorious piano chord progressions add a melancholic air that ripples through the 8-minute piece exuding class and craftsmanship. 

A new label to enter the underground house milieu, Pillbox is a label based in Berlin and Mexico City.

Studio wizard and driving force behind the Londam label which he runs together with Skenna, Riigs is a busy guy. The quality productions he delivers time after time are nothing short of amazing, and this 'Reality Bruise EP' is yet another perfect example of his ability to create just about anything underground electronic music related as if it is his second nature. The long lost son has returned to the mothership! Or at least, that's how it feels now that we have Arjuna Schiks back on one of Manual Music's labels. The prolific Amsterdam based producer has mostly been absent from the scene for quite a bit, focussing on other musical projects and endeavors, but he's been incredibly active in the studio over the last couple of years and we're happy to welcome him back.

The release of 'Homestayer' is a good start, as this has been one of Arjuna's well sought after tracks. He has been including this one in his live sets for many years and now this beautiful little gem finally sees the light of day with a well deserved release on Manual Deep!

Thirteen years after winning Starter talent scouting contest (Radio Wave), Yogi Rulez continues magic recording studio games balancing between downtempo and electronic jazz based on a fusion of double bass, rhodes piano and vibraphone mixed with fresh chillout grooves.

Everything bad is good for something. The lockdown caused by the COVID-19 epidemic created time and space to complete the sound work on the EP record, which I have been working on since 2019. Let me introduce you new musical genre called "lockdowntempo".
