Andre Sobota produced another moment of Proton Music magic with his June 2020 "Under the Radar" EP. Now, remixes come from talented Colombian and Israeli artists.

Riding a tidal wave of success from his Cali home southwest of the Bogota capital, Kamilo Sanclemente is as prolific as he is talented. Over 500 production credits bear witness to such prolificacy that began with a debut EP for Suite 7 Records in September 2013 and has gone on to see a host of original and remix production material for the likes of Perspectives Digital, Parquet Recordings and Paul Hazendonk's Manual Music. Summer 2017 saw a Particles debut with his three-track "Revelations" EP while "Eva" arrived a year later. Proton Music has also benefitted from this abundance of material from the Sanclemente studio. Joined by fellow countryman, Dabeat, January 2019's "Spiral Patterns" debut sparked a brilliant debut which was followed in August 2020 by the six-original track "Beyond the Future, Vol. 1" EP, beginning an exciting new series for the label. Remixes for GMJ and Peter Makto & Gregory S are now joined by a third as the Kamilo Sanclemente reworking of the "Under the Radar" bristles with a cadenced rhythmic framework that builds on that provided by Sobota. Evolving in smooth fashion, a rich array of new melodies emerge out of the hypnotic percussive backdrop as arpeggios glisten with analogue character and a lead motif cascades in reverb and delay-laden splendour. The result is a glorious new interpretation that has its cap firmly doffed to the original while showcasing Sanclemente's skill and craftsmanship in no uncertain terms.

A stalwart of the underground dance scene for over 15 years, Igal Magitman continues to carve out a name for himself with his dynamic progressive and techno offerings. Originally through his collaborative work with fellow countryman, Brisker, the Israeli artist found success on the likes of Baroque, Tribal Visions and Balkan Connection before solo work has continued to find Magitman at the vanguard of the underground dance movement. A regular behind the decks at clubs across the globe from China and Europe to Brazil and his Israeli home, Magitman has seen material signed to such stellar imprints as Global Underground, Perspectives Digital and Dave Seaman's Selador. Moreover, a score of production credits for Proton Music that began in late 2008 with the "Wet" EP in partnership with Brisker, has seen a clutch of impressive releases that include such memorable offerings as 2012's "Cleaning Day" and 2017's "Recovery". Remixes for Silinder, Andrea Cassino, Rick Pier O'Neil and GMJ & East Café have continued to showcase Magitman's skills as he now returns to rework Andre Sobota. Taking a typically intelligent approach to his craft, the Magitman remix of "Never Ending" makes sublime use of the underlying chord progression that dominates the original, adding rich melodic flourishes and twinkling phrases that transform the track into an emotive and powerful reworking. A newly programmed rhythmic foundation based upon heavy kick and laid-back percussive hats serves to add another potent reminder of Magitman's talent.
