Bassam & ILyes join focus as a new record label is born. The French based artists come as a collective, already affiliated via the Chevry Agency in Paris. Although no strangers to collaboration, their contribution towards the Facemelter VA marks their first track together.

The label being welcomed into the world comes from the team at Ritmo London. Although a relatively new name to the London underground (scene not tube), Ritmo have wasted little time making themselves known. Their podcast series has been showcasing regional talent since it started, transposing into an events calendar that has featured the likes of Silverlining, Voigt.Mas and regular invites to Leeds’ own Reeshy. Shandy's style emanates that of someone who's normally on the other side of the decks. With melodic synths, rolling bass-lines and all-round tight percussion, we're sure this will get your toe tapping.

The night was falling over the warm and loud September city. Beep-beep, could we have the bill please, where are you, Mary wait, excuse me, I love you, beep-beep. Crossing the street, we bumped into a young lady laughing at her phone screen and not watching the road.
 – Oops, sorry!
 – It’s ok, but you don’t go ahead until you tell us the joke.
Strangely, she agreed to that random stupid deal. The joke was killer. The girl was @olya-smok. We clicked instantly.
More evenings together followed. She appeared to be playful and witty, deep and thoughtful, gentle and sensitive, sharp and dramatic..like the music she played..

Ears Wide Open is my call for you to come wander open-heartedly into the endless realm of beats and melodies I dig, mostly – but not limited to – electronic, No boundaries or preconceptions, just all that music I wanted to share with the world, but I didn’t have the chance yet.

I grew up listening to the radio or better said, the radio grew me musically, infected me with a visceral need to select the music I loved and tape it on cassettes. Later on, I started to buy vinyl and play them to the people at parties. Ears Wide Open triggers a new dimension of what DJing means for me. Tune in and enjoy!

Move D - Recorded Live @ Half Baked's 12th Birthday

We remember our first live glimpse into Deyan's selection during Wake Up Stran-Jah while wondering the forest hills around the beach and the feeling of vibrating sounds resonating with the waves only left us craving for more. 
The natural continuation of that was to have him on board as a guest Dj, and damn that was one hell of a night.

So now finally, we present his mix as the 13th episode of the series and we could not be happier that is today. 
Carefully crafted and with a sleek attention to detail, as we can hear in his Dj sets as well, he stays true to his authentic style and takes us on a 76min voyage through his inspirations.

It has been a rough year for everybody and it's still hard to wrap our heads around some of the things that have happened but music will always be a sole provider of soul centering and that is something we are never loosing.
Take care everybody and see you in 2022 for our next endeavors. X
