Argentinian artist Lumière has, since leaving her South American home setup a new life in the bustling streets and avenues of Barcelona. What has always been a hot bed of underground music has, in recent times, Barcelona has begun to really bear its teeth again. Right at the very core of this is Loud-Contact and their resident Lumière. She has been instrumental in delivering their wide-ranging manifesto of the finest underground sounds in the world. This has led her to far flung destinations and as a result some very interesting line-ups indeed. From fabric alongside Mano Le Tough and Sasha, to Jardim Sonoro alongside minimal heavy weights such as Raresh and Margaret Dygas, and of course the myriad of heavy hitters that she welcomes at Loud-Contact, Lumière is peerless in her range.

For her mix for our InSession series she boils down all these influences and propels them into her muscular, acid soaked sonic vision. Breaks, lower tempo techno and vocoded electro all have a firm place in her heart and in what has become a sort of signature sound of the city, Lumière is at the vanguard of this scene. With the mix run time clocking in at just over an hour, she moves quickly through the gears to offer a short but very sweet addition. It is little wonder that she is a star in the making and revered by all corners of the electronic community.

Coming in hot for its second outing is Anthea & Velasco’s PILLZ imprint, this time they turn to Oshana to take care of business. Chunky dance floor action with an attitude from the Berlin based artist as she showcases her characteristic sound once more. The four track “Letting Go'' EP explores extensive territory, meandering between distinctive shades of electro, breakbeat, techno and acid energy from an outer place. 

First up is “Vindicator”, a tightly arranged trip, bubbling from the word go, leading you down a path of tension before opening up into a mysterious frenzy, eccentric synths wandering around the powerful forward motion of the track. Further spaced out transmissions that pack a punch in title track “Letting Go”, despite the raw tenacity of the track you can easily become lost in the depth of the production.  

Tasteful retro drums pave the way on the flip side in “Jah Rules”, conversing blissfully with the squelchy bass tones that flash in and out. Closing off the “Letting Go” EP is “E Motions”, a fierce electro whipper, ready and waiting to be propelled into a club setting, circulating the room, simmering as it begins to build a unique atmosphere on the dance floor, allowing the imagination to wander. 

A powerful quest through Oshana’s versatile vibe, essential underground moods for the hazy hours of the night.

Andrijana likes to combine different approaches to minimalism, from atmospheric and mystical themes to unusual breakbeat rhythms and intriguing vocals. Thanks to her dedication, her measured technique and impressive dynamic flow soon attracted attention, followed by more and more frequent performances in eminent clubs in Novi Sad, Belgrade and beyond. This year she performed for the first time in a festival environment, on EXIT's Urban Bag stage.
