Summer is flying by and it's time for our next compilation again. This time we have put together a large selection of artists for you whose sound we have been liking lately.

Downtempo is a very diverse music genre with many different styles and directions. As always, we want to address all these influences we like with our compilation and bring them under one roof. So there should be something for everyone on this release, whether to chill out on an open air or inside in the fog of the night.

We are very grateful to have represented so many different and talented musicians on our label and we would like to thank all artists involved. Especially our Mastering Engineer Haunted Water & Kilian Van De Water for the gorgeous Artwork again.

Premiere : Kapchiz • From Dusk Til Down [down.]

After shining with individual tracks and remixes on our label in the past, it's now time for our buddy @joe-carl to release a complete EP with us.

His unmistakably slapping and pushing synth-heavy sound immediately catches the eye and once again forms the foundation of his two originals for this release. Equally impactful, the two remixers @katabtu and @fr_wrks have imparted their personal touch to the tracks, smoothly rounding out the overall work.

As always, our pal Haunted Water took care of the mastering, and the artwork comes from the talented Kilian Van de Water. We hope you enjoy listening.

It's that time again—early September marks the launch of our next compilation! We can hardly believe it ourselves, but it's already down.tape °9.

As always, we've worked hard to bring you a mix of emerging new artists alongside some seasoned veterans who have yet to be featured on our compilations. The soundscape spans from fresh, summery open-air vibes to driving beats perfect for the night, once again showcasing the incredible diversity of our favorite genre.

We want to thank all the artists for their unique contributions, as well as Kilian Van de Water for the artwork and Haunted Water for the mastering. Enjoy the music!

Hug Records is back with a soothing sonic journey! Swiss duo @mujia-tajo deliver a dreamy, downtempo track wrapped in warm textures and gentle grooves. Floating between organic and electronic, their sound invites you to slow down and sink in.

We’re excited to share this beautiful remixby the talented Mexican artist @Tlazohtla. Known for his organic downtempo sound deeply rooted in ancestral rhythms and earthy textures, Tlazohtla brings a whole new dimension to the track — weaving in delicate percussion and atmospheric layers that honor the original while creating something uniquely his own.

The Leak

Next episode of my journey. This one was hard to finish, for I got stuck and didn't know how to continue. Needed a couple of weeks away from Ableton to reset and restart the project. 
Despite that I'm happy with the final result. I have improved a lot of little things while mixing, which made mastering easier. That is very encouranging, looking forward to the next track.
