King Ital Rebel  - Show Love

2016 war ein großes Jahr fur Megaloh und Trettmann. Der eine lieferte das Rap-Album des Jahres (JUICE), der andere stellte mit seinem enigmatischen Post-Cloud-Pop die deutsche Musikwelt auf den Kopf. Nun machen sie fur eine EP gemeinsame Sache. Zwei Kings. Eine hochprofessionell verbuffte Booth. Nuff vibes.

Megaloh und Trettmann. Der Volkstribun aus Moabit und der based Adriano Celentano aus Leipzig. Der MC-Meuchelmurderer mit dem unerschopflichen Flow-Vorrat und der Trap- Troubadour mit dem so speziellen Gespür fur Hooks und Harmonien. Unter der Vibes- Oberaufsicht von KitschKrieg fugen sich ihre Talente nun auf vollkommene Weise zusammen. Alles fließt, alles wummert, alles passt. “Swagger so anormal / natural natural!”

Die Biografien von Megaloh und Trettmann konnten unterschiedlicher kaum sein. Der eine wuchs mit nigerianischen Wurzeln in Berlin auf. Mit der Autoritat des echten Lyricists marschiert er durch die Deutschrap-Welt, zuletzt an der Seite von Max Herre und seinem Nesola-Camp. Der andere wurde in den Achtzigern sozialisiert von Westradio und Breakdance, hielt jahrelang im gefuhlten Alleingang die Fahne fur Dancehall in Deutschland hoch. Im vergangenen Jahr uberraschte er sich selbst mit seinem Tanzstil und alle anderen mit seiner Reinkarnation als futuristischer Post-Alles-Crooner.
Gemein sind Megaloh und Trettmann ihre Wurzeln in der Soundsystemkultur. Beide haben die Musik von Dennis Brown, Barrington Levy, Beenie Man oder Popcaan gefeiert und studiert. Bass war ihr Lehrer, die Jagd nach der nachsten Rewind-würdigen Zeile ist ihre Obsession. Das hörte man bereits auf den gemeinsamen Songs “Was soll’s?” (2015) und “Wer hat die Hitze?” (2016). Und das hört man noch deutlicher auf “Herb und Mango”. Das Format ist Hip-Hop, die Samples sind Reggae, die Haltung ist Yard – wir killen, und was tut ihr?

Mit der zeitgeistigen Ranwanzung so vieler Rapper und Popstars, die sich derzeit ein bisschen Hip-Hop-Reggae-Inna-Dancehall-Style in den Einkaufswagen packen, hat das nichts zu tun. Mega und Tretti fühlen den Scheiß – und stellen sich ganz selbstverständlich in eine Traditionslinie von BDP und BCC bis Drizzy und Tory Lanez.

Produziert wurde “Herb und Mango” von KitschKrieg. Die Geschichte des Kollektivs aus Berlin-Kreuzberg – bestehend aus Fizzle, Fiji Kris und °awhodat° – ist ebenfalls untrennbar verbunden mit jamaikanischem Bashment und seinen globalen Ablegern. Fiji Kris fackelte früher mit Symbiz turmhohe Bassboxen ab; Fizzle bastelte als SoulForce an irren Blends und Zukunfts-Riddims (unter anderem mit Jr. Blender, lange bevor der begann, Welthits für Diplo und Major Lazer rauszuknattern). 2016 arbeiteten sie als KitschKrieg mit Haiyti, Joey Bargeld, Bonez MC & Raf Camora, den Beginnern und natürlich Trettmann.

Januar 2017: Die Welt scheint sich mal wieder auf Abschottung und Ausgrenzung als Allheilmittel zu einigen. Megaloh, Tretttmann und KitschKrieg aber machen sich frei und reißen weiter Mauern ein. Gegen die Kälte, für die Liebe, guten Geschmack und dafür, dass
das Feuer nicht aufhört zu brennen. Also, wer hat die Hitze? 🔥 🔥 🔥

Descended from a family of musicians, ManuDigital has begun bass at thirteen years old, backed by his two guitarist brothers.
He plays in his first reggae band in 1994 were he discovers the stage and the public. Joining others groups later on he does his first steps on the Yvelines's stages.
Since ever fancying the Jamaican culture and the amount of styles and forms, ManuDigital decides to build up, with few close friends, his own Sound System. As a selector, he prooves his abilities during more than four years in a weekly radio show dedicated to reggae.
At nineteen, his passion and desire to professionalise himself make him integrate a famous jazz school to improve his way to play. He leaves it up four years later enriched by theories and technics from every music styles. On the side of his cursus, ManuDigital backs in live, with his turnatables or instrument, any of the most famous french reggae names and sets himself up as profesional bassman. Also composer, he takes part in many albums recordings, singles, international and french 12inchs.
Music lover and changeable, evolving during his meetings with different music styles permiting him to rich the biggest french stages.
In 2010, he forms part of a higly renowned band as incumbent bassman, with who he still perfoms actually.
