Balearic bath-bomb Fran Deeper hits the heights for Hot Digits with the sumptuously juicy Palmaric EP. 

Kicking things off for this outstanding 5 tracker is ‘Night Tropic – a late night dreamy journey into hypnotic bass, strings and melodic sweeps. What makes this one so very special is the ethereal, sweary vocal dripped lovingly all over the music. A track for dawn as much as it is for dusk.

Track number 2 is the funky and chunky ‘Groove Garden’. There’s a seriously pulsating drive to this 121bpm corker. Fran Deeper weaves in an almost bluesy feel to the jam that immediately hooks you with a thumping bass and blippy Kraftwerkian Moog sounds. Rip-roaring, genre hopping wholesome fun. 

Friday Rhythm is a sonic blast of raunchy guitar licks, wah-wah pedal and Jean-Michel Jarre-esque synth ensemble. Combining intricate soundscapes and arrangements, Fran adds a dirty (bordering on filthy) sax for extra flavour to complete this saucy electronic flambe which leaves you in a heap and begging for more. 

Track number four sees Hot Digits favourite Ian Upfold on remix duties for ‘Night Tropic’. Mr Upfold applies the perfect electro-dub varnish to the original. A minimalistic but melodic start enigmatically transforms into an emotional, orchestral explosion of strings, piano solo, wonky synth and of course, that gorgeously profane vocal sample.  

Closing this exceptional EP is the JaysEdits All Day Long Remix of ‘Night Tropic’. An acid-bass entwined with sub-woofer testing drums createsw an unmistakeable midnight bootleg feel. It pounds, it burrows, it builds and it gets inside your head where it will live forever as an AI overlord. An absolute horse of a tune as they’d say in some quarters. 

The Palmaric EP is sure to get tongues wagging and dance floors moving in an autumnal haze and continues Hot Digits’ ongoing mission to push boundaries and raise ceilings.

Danny Parton and Mike Parton offer up ‘Jolene 07’ a split A/B side record with two cuts from both producers on each side, showcasing the French touch sound the imprint has become known and loved for.

Danny Parton takes the lead on the a-side, kicking off with ‘Bunch’ and perfectly setting the tone for the record with thunderous drums, saturated choppy synth bass, gritty percussion and intricately processed vocal samples.
‘Point’ follows next and leans into a more airy, brighter aesthetic via squelchy 303 licks, an amalgamation of intertwined vocal chops, sweeping resonant synth lines, organic drums and weight subs throughout.

Mike Parton follows on the B-side, laying down ‘Touch’ first, a deep house excursion fuelled by swinging, crisp drums, billowing atmospherics, twitchy stab sequences intertwined with winding low-end tones and astutely programmed vocal samples.
‘Go To The Moon’ then rounds out the release on a jazzy house tip, laid out across five and a half minutes with fluttering keys, sweeping filtered synths, a dynamically evolving rhythm section and dreamy spoken word vocal lines.

Manuel Costela is a Spanish producer from Madrid.
His music is mostly Deep house with touches of  Funk & Grooves.
At a very young age, he started the Bucketround label. 
Which currently goes by the tenth reference and only produces Vinyl format. 

Bucketround was born from the initial idea of merging funk with Deep house music, publishing works of artists who are able to risk a bit in music production and to create a community of famous artists, collaborating with producers that are emerging right now. 
He started his electronic music carrier using an alias:
Oval Future Face (O.F.F) which focused on exploring darker sounds.
His last project is a new digital label, called 2phonic Recordings, this is created to discover new talented artists, based on electronic music, experimenting with different pre-defined styles. 

He has worked and is working in countless labels of international prestige some of them are: TH Pressing (Japan), Sub_Urban, Trax Records, Deep Explorer Music, Mate Recordings, Nang Records, Deepart Sounds, Black Jack Records, Klassik (Chicago), Moatun7, Rare Wiri, B2 Recordings, Delve Deeper, MoodyHouse,  Spa In Disco, Closer To Truth, Real Balearic, Black Riot, Moulton Music (San Francisco) and more.

And has collaborated with a lot of great artists, such as: K Alexi Shelby, Robert Owens, Homero Espinosa, Dubbyman, Above Smoke, Ney Faustini, Danielle Baldelli, Reggie Dokes, Dj Rocca, Pablo Bolivar,  Rayko, Tominori Hosoya, and many many more.

Actually Manuel presents a weekly program broadcast on Balearica Music Radio from Ibiza with his friend Rafa Santos.
For 2023/2024 he is working on new special collaborations with Robert Owens (Musical Directions), K Alexi, Jamie Anderson, Dj Rocca, Tominori Hosoya, Bjak and future projects on Deeper Shades Recordings, Moulton (San Francisco)  and Only Good Vibes/Vibe Collide Records.
