Recorded under a starry sky on Friday the 13th @ Kiezburn 2021.  I was walking past the Mellow Submarine camp when someone called out "Does anyone know a DJ?"  A few minutes later I had my mixer set up and we were ready for liftoff.  Thank you so much to all the lovely creatures who joined me on this journey, and to Mellow Submarine for welcoming me in so spontaneously.

La idea de este mixtape es mostrar parte de la música que rodea a Señor Chancho, no solo como músico autodidacta, sino que también como oyente. Hay música chilena como Anita Tijoux y Juana Fe que le gustan mucho, creaciones y remixes propios entre los que van un par de adelantos, hits de algunos artistas del sello y sus colaboradores. Y junto a esto incluye parte de los artistas que más le gustan de la escena Global Bass y Tropical Bass, parte de su inspiración.

Para Festival Nómade llega con un mixtape mestizo, donde la fuerza de la cumbia coquetea con elementos sintéticos, que aportan a su propuesta musical un aire refrescante aunque selvático, húmedo.

Un viaje suave directo a la pista de baile. Te sube a la liana de la cumbia y va avanzando entre sonidos orgánicos, de la naturaleza, combinados con elementos houseros y la fuerza del tropical bass. La música tiene una progresión que visita varios tipos de ritmos pero mutándolos, sacándolos de su lugar conocido y llevándolos a un espacio más eléctrico, para desde ahí ir engordándolos con beats.

Bleepolar Mixtape 029 - Festival Nómade Colombia

Today we welcome a duo to the team, which knows each other almost the whole live, almost like real brothers.

Their name is based on the French word Rameau, which means olive tree branch and further is the symbol of peace. Besides their melodic electronica sounds RAMMÖ is known for its their excellent MM mix series and the minimalistic, white object artworks (which we absolutely love!). They thought of it as a nice analogy to the way they make and think of music.

It was almost 10 years ago when the two friends moved from Southern France to Amsterdam and further developed their musical profile within the vibrant Dutch music community. RAMMÖ are also co-founders and residents of the respected Dutch collective Klassified Music. 

2019 will be an exciting year for RAMMÖ: one original track coming out on the next Klassified VA/compilation on Janurary 25th. RAMMÖ, by the way, will be mixing it. Further they’re about to announce gigs around the globe including an Asia tour. And there is more to come by this fantastic duo…

Please join me in welcoming the guys on board and have a sip of this fantastically deep and refined Vodka Sawa. We love its build-up and this slight touch of funk & groovyness to it.
