Topic: Mood at the beginning of the lockdown

Waiting for the daily press conferences with the latest figures and regulations. Feelings of standing still, paralysis, dependence, isolation, insecurity and also relaxation.

The idea was to record something with live instruments, immediately, not reflecting too much and not using a theoretical approach.
And in parallel to the sound experiments, I tried for the first time to convert Chinese cabbage into a Korean kimchi, using fermentation. This process suited the situation of waiting in the lockdown very well.

G-Edit's Anna Malysz met Patty and Maren at a party during Leipziger book fair two or three years ago. On this evening, Anna and Marlene were behind the decks, playing as Dyscotheque, while Maren and Patty were dancing front row - some weeks later, they changed positions. The Conne Island DJ-Proberaum became Phoebe's and Lady Scorpio's dojo, where they evolved the distinct style that they like to play back-to-back: most likely some housy kitschy vibes. Beyond DJing, the two are active and shaping the electronic scene. Last year, they were part of the Crew around vacanza-Festivals. We definitely keep these two on the list for secco-filled summer nights and colourful house parties once the dancefloors open again.

It is alongside the music blog IDM News, she decided to bring together some of her favorite picks from 2019 in electronic music and provides us a 2 hour podcast. The mix have been done by Mike Griffin & Steve Brown, in a B to B recordset, with her vocal added as a radio-show.
