'Thought Waves' is a first-time collaboration between Galway producer Darran Nugent and Baltimore vocalist/songwriter Phill Celeste aka Life On Planets. The result is a track that beautifully encapsulates the multiplex of emotions of the lockdown consciousness voiced through the unbounded, soul-liberating medium of house music. Phil's lyrics and vocals boldly announce 'Penny for my thoughts, but them thoughts ain't free...tricky. All this thinkin'...taking energy'. His answer is a resoundingly positive one: 'breathe slow' and 'get it out of the way'. 

Darran Nugent has been producing for over 20 years, most notably under his alias Aruba, with some sought after classic vinyls like 'How Low Can you Go' (Exun/Cocoon) or 'In Stereo' (Squareroom) as well as remixing house music legends like Fish Go Deep, Fresh & Low and Freestyle Man. Darran's sound has always challenged the boundaries between deeper and techier styles of House music, while still creating a recognisable, signature style of his own. He also runs his label called Elevation Recordings.

Life On Planets is the solo project of singer/guitarist Phill Celeste. Melding soul, R&B, and house in his original productions, the artist’s eclectic sound took him from the streets of Baltimore to cities the world over. 

William Keohane aka Sacred H3art (Yoruba Records) was an immediate choice to remix 'Thought Waves' with Darran being a huge fan of his unique deep and infectious production style and delivers a stunning remix in his unmistakable style. La Dj y productora Andy Grey con base en Madrid nos presenta su ultimo single tech-house con tintes latinos en clave de guaracha.

Este track forma parte de la BSO del documental "Ignífugas", que trata el relato de mujeres de a pie con distintas edades y posiciones sociales, que consiguen reflejar cómo la desigualdad, la precariedad laboral y la opresión de género van unidas, constituyendo una realidad intergeneracional.

Desde la más pura cotidianeidad y el más vivo de los relatos, nace Ignífugas dando voz a más de siete mujeres que narran sus experiencias personales en las que pese a las diferencias de edad, cultura o procedencia se encuentra un nexo común, la desigualdad que las atraviesa por el hecho de ser mujeres.

Colectivos como Las Kellys y Territorio Doméstico han querido formar parte de este relato, hablándonos de sus alianzas que ponen de manifiesto las caras de la opresión confirmándonos que la precariedad y el género van unidos.

La valentía, el coraje, la supervivencia y el trabajo constante son adjetivos que definen a nuestras protagonistas.

Ellas son el altavoz de muchas otras mujeres que no tuvieron la oportunidad de hablar ya sea por lo que implica ponerse delante de una cámara, o porque nadie nunca les preguntó.

'Riot' takes a more subversive tact with deeper low-end fluctuations as the subs wrap tightly around the kicks, big metallic percussive hits provide the melody and iced out pads ripple through the mix with euphoria.

Both clocking in at over eight stately minutes. Both delivered with the perfect level of introspection and dynamic power and thundering big-system weight. Both highlighting the fact that we are not alone and can share and shed our frustrations where we have for decades: the dancefloor. These are the most peaceful protests and riots you'll ever experience.

Mao Loading started his DJ career in Bogota in 2005 performing in the DJ duo Makintouch. Riding the forefront of the indie/electronic dance scene in Colombia's vibrant capital city, Makintouch grew to be the biggest DJ act in the country –playing all of Colombia ́s major festivals and opening for the likes of Calvin Harris, 2ManyDJs, Hot Chip, Basement Jaxx, Felix da Housecat, and Plastilina Mosh. In 2011 Mao decided to take his act solo, along with his record label ALL WE DO IS PARTY. His frenzied live repertoire covers genres such as electro, disco, indie, house and the latest in dance music that make people move. MAO is one of six acts in Colombia sponsored by adidas and has appeared in feature articles in Playboy Colombia and Rolling Stone South America magazines. With only a few shows outside of Colombia under his belt (Las Vegas, Miami, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Mexico City) he has his sights on big things in the U.S. and Latin America in 2011.
