From a cozy corner in the French part of Switzerland, RØDIG's journey into the world of decks began 8 years ago at a house party, equipped with a Traktor mixer. At just 17, he thereafter dived headfirst into the world of vinyl, acquiring turntables and a mixer, marking the beginning of his life as a disc spinner.
Supported by his friend and musical mentor, Chlär (aka "daddy" to RØDIG), our artist has been fine-tuning his production skills and deck wizardry ever since. While Chlär remains an inspiration for his musical development, RØDIG adds names like Alarico, Fireground, Annē, TheLoopmasters, Vil, Cravo, Stranger, and Stef Mendesidis to the list, naming his current favorite DJs as the “legendery Irish Gs” DJ Frequency and DJ Speed with their “sexy selection of tracks”. 
Part of the Swiss collective Otium District for over 5 years, RØDIG also co-runs Otium Records and manages his own label, Shojiki Records. With origins in Germany's groundbreaking Ilian Tape and influences from techno legends like Ben Klock, RØDIG now looks up to the unique sonic palettes of Samuel L. Session, Justin Berkovi, The Advent, Skee Mask, and Zenker Brothers for inspiration for his jams ranging from old-school to Funk-infused and minimalistic Techno, staying true to the groove that fuels his passion. 
Having graced the decks at venues like Geneva’s Le Zoo and La Gravière, Paris’ KM25 and Glazart, and Berlin’s Aeden, RØDIG is all about bringing the fun to your night with dynamic sets that unfold a musical story. Join him on this sonic journey and discover new sounds that will elevate your vibes!

Offenbach's own DJ Simlocked brings a lifetime of musical passion to the decks! From rocking out on the guitar as a kid to transitioning to drums, his journey through the music world has been wild. Around the time he was performing with a Skramz band, the rave scene captured his heart at the age of 17, leading him to pick up DJing in 2014.

While stating that her early selections of electronic music might not be particularly flattering today, Simlocked's influences evolved qucikly to include Detroit legends like Juan Atkins, Gerald Donald, Mad Mike, Detroit In Effect, and Octave One. His production journey kicked off in 2017, drawing inspiration from contemporary artists like Stones Taro, Nikki Nair, Chloe Robinson & ADHD, Shcuro, Ben Pest, Viikatory, and CEM3340.

Now a member of the Hamburg-based collective and label Action Replay Codes, DJ Simlocked has graced clubs like PAL, Bürro, Silbergold, and Tanzhaus West in the Frankfurt area. Introducing Charlie, an emerging artist born and raised in Beirut, whose musical odyssey commenced a few years ago, inspired by the rhythmic legacy of an older sister already entrenched in the DJ world. A deep dive into the sonic archives of niche underground 90s producers became a defining exploration, shaping Charlie's distinctive musical identity.

Charlie started to musically venture out at the raves in warehouses on the outskirts of Paris before finding her way home to Berlin, specifically drawn by the city's entrancing music world. She took her first steps into the Berlin scene with a debut gig at the renowned Hater Kater party in Kater Blau.

Beyond the primal sound of purist organic techno, Charlie's heart resonates with the diverse beats of Jazz and Classical music. The hypnotic allure of ambient sounds also finds a place in her sonic palette, contributing to a rich and multifaceted musical expression.

VIVEZ has been producing almost half his life (since he was 13), and bought his first controller 10 years ago. The length of his sonic history certainly shows in his productions and mixes: He kicked off his DJing with deep DnB sounds in the initial years, but as he continued his union with the sound, he found his way towards deep, hypnotic, textured and bleepy grooves. He's struck by the feeling of dissolving in music, its ability to make one switch off their head and exist only in the soundscapes. Mav has been active as a DJ since 2019, but her musical journey spans a lifetime. Not being particularly sporty as a child, her early years were shaped instead by a love for music. She learned to play various instruments – violin, guitar, piano, and of course, the good old Tin Whistle. Her father shaped her love for electronic music from an early age – no radio, just his CDs and later the Sony Walkman. Techno entered her life around the age of 14, but it wasn't until she was 16 that she found true appreciation for it. Over time, the appreciation turned into passion and Mav, in spite of a frustrating start due to her perfectionism, got her hands on the decks when 21 and twisted her life into an electronic direction. 

Powered by her belief in endless change and development, Mav has ever since been striving to curate her sound as close as it can get to her unique self at a given time. She names her main inspiration as Anetha for her multitasking decication to being a role model for women in the industry, while MZA makes to the top of her list for her unique and flawlessly produced tracks. Enchanted by the works of many other artists such as UFO95, Shannen Blessing, Flores, Aero, Dylan Fogarty, Ketek/KEEPKEEP, VTSS, Mac Declos, Glenn Wilson, Sunil Sharpe, DERV, PH87, Hoymans, and Jardinage, Mav twists her own sound into sexy, bouncy, and strange depths full of surprises. She has a special conneciton to weird, new sounds and textures: if it sounds like the work of an alien, she will be into it!

Producing for about 2 years now, Mav is still learning each day to develop her sound. Now proudly associated with the Reboot Agency, she has played at numerous clubs and festivals around Ireland, Ibiza, Germany, and Scotland, and she loves each and every gig she plays for the new and beautiful memories they bring. If she were to pick one standout gig, it would have to be her Boiler Room. It was a goal of hers for so long, and to achieve it means the world to her.

Elo joins our radio today for our 42nd podcast release. Born and raised in Berlin, Elo started her journey in electronic music in other directions, but found her way to techno in the last couple months. Now 18 - Elo started a collective with her friends ( @azurcollective ) and is seeking to contribute to her hometown's much celebrated cultural scene!

After playing the piano as a kid, Elo first got into singing and produced pop music in her earlier years. She was then introuduced to the decks two years ago, which made her realize that she just loves playing music in front of people! Now, her goal is to cary her sets to larger stages where she can combine her singing with live techno sets.

Atonism for DifferentSound Podcast #264.

Atonism is an eclectic, promising and emblematic electronic artist from Spain. Born in Southern Spain, this DJ/Producer has been involved in the electronic music scene over the past 15 years, since he bought his first pair of vinyl desks at age 14. By age 17 he was already producing his first tunes. After a decade of self-taught sound design and a few years of harmony’s studies, his current productions show the great potential of this young electronic artist. 

For the last 10 years he has primarily been involved in the Drum&Bass music under the name of Impak. The strength of his potential can be measured by his relevance in the D&B scene. In Spain, he became one of the most relevant Dj/Producers of this genre while most of his depurated productions were commonly heard at most of the D&B parties, regularly appearing in top positions of Beatport charts. His name headlined parties across the country, ending up being resident DJ of the legendary club Industrial Copera in Granada. Internationally, Impak is a renowned name who has released his productions in major labels like Cause4Concern, supported by the most relevant artists like Optiv,Btk or Prolix and toured all over Europe in several occasions. 

All this experience is reflected in his new stellar techno productions under the new aka Atonism. With his first vinyl release on Freddy k’s label Key Vinyl, more than ten digital releases on stablished labels as Flash, Warok, Autonome, Cantilce or Olympian, the main concept behind Atonism is to get dancing and intellect together in the dancefloor, seeking to mix quality rhythms, well designed sounds and textures with a delicate setting.Techno, groove, neuro and analogic aproach to name a few concepts are his reference of choice when he begins the composition of a new track in the studio.

His new path, already mature and characterized by a new way of understanding musicality and elegance.

dxrvo primarily creates Hypnotic Techno and Minimal Techno, with occasional ventures into electronic breaks and ambient music. His tracks usually range between 144-146 BPM, allowing for an intense and immersive sound. Recently, he has explored slower BPMs to enhance the hypnotic qualities and percussion, deepening the listening experience.

dxrvo's passion for electronic music began with a club visit in his hometown, leading to frequent trips to clubs, especially Klub Pan. Influenced by the DJ duo Lyric, he found his musical direction. Before discovering the scene, he had started producing music with help from his brother, an audio engineer, who taught him programs like Logic. This journey solidified his love for electronic music, which has become his greatest passion.

Influenced by DJs such as Amotik, DVS1, Klint, Orbe, and Pulso, he aims to capture the same hypnotic atmosphere in his music. As the founder of Kollektiv Synergie, an event series and label active for five years, he releases a podcast, SYNCAST, every Thursday, featuring hypnotic techno and hardgroove with rich percussion. The label also has an EP series, SYEP, showcasing international artists.

Bach, a 25-year-old electronic music artist from the picturesque yet lesser-known country of Tajikistan, began his journey into the world of electronic music at the tender age of 16. His path to becoming an artist was anything but conventional.

During a year spent abroad with a host family in the USA, Bach was fortunate enough to visit New York with his host parents and siblings. Toward the end of this trip, his host brother suggested an unforgettable detour: a trip to Detroit to attend a private party hosted by some college friends. Known for its vibrant music scene and rich industrial history, Detroit became the perfect catalyst for Bach's emerging passion for music. At an underground party in an abandoned warehouse-turned-hypnotic temple of sound, he encountered the pulsating rhythms and basslines that would shape his future. The walls vibrated, lights twitched, and the immersive basslines resonated deeply within him. It was in this electrifying atmosphere that he fell in love with the groove.

Since that pivotal experience, Bach has cultivated his unique style, characterized by groove, dark groove, intense sounds, and hypnotic techno. His sets blend deep, pulsating rhythms with dark, intense sounds to create a hypnotic soundscape that transports the audience to another world. Each track is meticulously selected to craft a journey that engages both body and mind.

As a resident DJ at the queer line “Pag”, Molly Lollen also performs at various clubs across Tel Aviv, gaining a reputation for dynamic and engaging sets. While there are no personal track releases yet, fans can expect the debut of original tracks starting next month. These will be featured on VA compilations as well as self-released EPs. The future holds an abundance of new music and thrilling collaborations with admired artists, marking an exciting new chapter in Molly Lollen’s career.

Escø, with his name in reference to his mothers last name "Escobar", has with Mexican and Italian roots but started his Djing journey in his 3 years in Frankfurt. Initially exploring Trance and House, a visit to Berghain in 2022 changed his take on electronic music and shifted his focus to the **sexy, psychedelic, and tribally** sound that now defines his style.

In 2023, Esco joined Frankfurt's Kollektiv Detektei069 and played his first gig in Marburg. After parting ways, he started uploading sets on SoundCloud, leading to club gigs at Bellini Mainz and Freud, with standout performances for Lost in Orbit and Disco Dolce.

Now inspired by René Wise, Marron, Ignez, and Hitam, and shaped by producers like Marcal, Marsch, Villa, and dxrvo, Esco aims to connect the past with the present on the dancefloor, turning it into a sauna and making sure everyone dances.

Before moving to Berlin, he'll next perform for Lost in Orbit at MTW on 27.09 - make sure not to miss him in Mainz :)
