"Ghenwa & Laila” is a Lebanese duo composed of musician Ghenwa NemNom and Dj Laila Sarkis, aka Djette. The two started a collaboration in 2020 and cultivated their signature sound by fusing the traditional Qanun (an Arabic string instrument and descendant of the old Egyptian harp) with deep electronic dance rhythms.

Ghenwa joined the National Lebanese Conservatory at eight years old, where she learned to master the Qanun. She continued her artistic journey at Oakland University in Michigan a decade later. Ghenwa is challenging the status quo and paving the way for an instrument that may be considered old-fashioned and limited to the traditional oriental music scene.

Djette has been making noise on the Beirut Dj scene since the early 2000s; she is notorious for her smile, good energy, and wide music selection. Djette is also a co-founder of Beirut’s legendary “Cotton Candy” party. She has held multiple club residencies over the decades in The Basement, Centrale, The Grand Factory, Garten, Skybar and Iris, to name a few.

As a duo, “Ghenwa & Laila” successfully crafted a unique musical experience for their audience in the SWANA region. Their heart is now set on taking this project West. The duo also aspires to inspire young girls in their region to pursue their artistic dreams.

We welcome GIGEE back to mobilee after the success of „Lullaby EP” with a topic that is very close to our hearts, that of our hometown Berlin. Inspiring many over the decades, we are happy to hear a 2022 expression of love for our unique late night universe.

"Berlin" tells the tale of historic walls that whilst concrete and grey, exude so much warmth. Driving beats and transcendental moments join that tongue in cheek fun and randomness that a long night into day here brings.

Next up, "Grindeveld" takes the listener on a lighter but no less monumental journey complete with those stomping beats. Completing the EP, "Azurblau" brings a deep groove alongside a wild story of peaking synths.

GIGEE strives to tell a story of personal freedom, no matter where we're from, united together in dance.

DGTL Records, das Plattenlabel des gleichnamigen niederländischen Festivalgiganten, feiert seinen fünften Geburtstag. Los ging es im April 2017 mit der EP „Dynamo And Neutrino“ von KiNK, zum Jubiläum gibt es die Compilation "5YRS of DGTL Records", die aus vier separaten und digitalen EPs besteht und die schließlich noch auf Vinyl erscheinen wird.
EP 3 wird am 18. März veröffentlicht und exklusiv präsentieren wir vorab den Track „Arcade Mode“ von Adriatique.

DGTL Records, the record label of the Dutch festival giant of the same name, is celebrating its fifth birthday.
