Technodromm #83 - Marboc

Marboc it is recently that he feels full satisfaction with what he creates. For a long time he was observing and following all kinds of musical genres to find his place. He was fascinated and tried to show it in his performances.

Currently, Techno Music is for him an indicator of himself, weaving experiences from previous ones and trying to generate something unique. His productions are an example of such a combination. Combining fast rhythmic drums with subtle backgrounds and an addictive industrial bass line is one of his favorite forms of production.

This is the way of working that he has been maintaining since 2017 and he feels that he will remain in it for a long time.
It is also gratifying to see that the productions are appreciated not only by the Polish public, but also in niezliczone podcasty from all over the world.

During the performance, the most important thing is the bond with the public and trust. Adapting to the environment and the theme of the event is another characteristic that has allowed him to acquire this skill over the years of experience. Whether he's playing a Hypnotic Warmup or setting up a very solid closing, he's always ready to roll. Each performance is like a short story, with their own songs interspersed throughout. He is always open to hear your impressions after the show and give you a high five.

Between performing and creating new tracks in the studio, he has been involved in other projects ranging from the radio residency to the Nocturn collective, the Przedświt project, and finally the organizing and promoting project. They are the source of information that shapes my musical character.

A week ago I had the pleasure of appearing on Polish radio station @czworka_polskieradio It is one of the great dreams for me as a kid to be able to perform right here. Emotions and stress accompanied me all day. Unfortunately, these feelings were getting stronger and stronger before the set. I was almost late, due to car accidents on the road. I made it! I had a few minutes to unpack and be ready.
All the material was recorded and unfortunately you can feel my nervousness. Nevertheless, I am happy.

I have nothing to be ashamed of. Mistakes happen sometimes and this is a great learning time for me. I will remember this day forever. Thank you for your great support.

Hala Ambientu - Plenum Marboc Djset 04.05.2024

I recently attended a party at the Second House club, where Marboc and Johaane played an amazing set. Upon entering the club, I was immediately struck by the atmosphere - a dark interior lit up with intense red and blue neon lights. Everything looked raw, but at the same time it had that cozy underground vibe.
There were turntables, a mixer and decent speakers on stage, which promised that the music would be really high quality. Marboc and Johaane played their sets exclusively from vinyl, which created a unique, old-school vibe. I could feel how each song flowed seamlessly into the next, and the vinyl rhythm added that unique depth and character to the whole thing that is impossible to fake on digital media.
The whole evening had something magical - old-school sounds, mixed with the atmosphere of a small club, where the music literally vibrated in the air. It was one of those parties you just had to be at if you like analog sounds and vinyl sets.

Marboc, or Marcin Bocinski, is one of the key pieces of the puzzle of the Tricity scene. Owner of an extensive vinyl collection, he has also recently
become a lecturer at the @instytutdzwieku in Gdansk. More than 15 years of musical experience have resulted in finding his long-awaited place on earth in the form of a sound that combines the speed of rhythmic percussion with subtle backgrounds and an engaging industrial bass line. His productions over the years have graced labels such as @drvmsltd, @rhodrecords, @frequenza-records and @codedplatform. It doesn't matter to him whether he plays at the end or the beginning of an event. Marcin skillfully adapts to the climate and surroundings serving whether it's a hypnotic warm up or a no-comprimos closing.

Marboc (@marboc), czyli Marcin Bociański, jest jednym z kluczowych elementów układanki trójmiejskiej sceny. Posiadacz bogatej kolekcji winyli, od niedawna także wykładowca w gdańskiej placówce Instytut Dźwięku. Ponad 15 lat muzycznego doświadczenia zaowocowały odnalezieniem swojego długo wyczekiwanego miejsca na ziemi w postaci brzmienia łączącego szybkość rytmicznej perkusji z subtelnym tłem i wciągającą industrialną linią basu. Jego produkcje na przestrzeni lat zasiliły takie wytwórnie jak DRVMS LTD., Rhod Records, Frequenza czy Coded Platform. Nie ma dla niego znaczenia, czy gra na końcu, czy na początku imprezy. Marcin umiejętnie dostosowuje się do klimatu i otoczenia serwując czy to hipnotyczny warm up, czy bezkompromisowy closing.

I’m really happy to take part in this contest!
During these 30+ minutes I tried to capture what I truly love about music — a blend of hypnotic melodies, raw textures, and a driving groove that keeps the set moving from start to finish.

The mix was recorded live in one take, using 100% vinyl, to keep the energy and the organic feel that matter most to me.
