In the heart of the darkness of the night, when shadows triumph over light, it is only and only He who is the savior. Who else could be the solace to that afflicted wanderer of the night, fleeing from mankind, dragging themselves limply to a desolate ruin?

The moonlight, when present, leaves no distance defenseless. It shines. And it is He who, in the critical moment of shadow's dominance, is present—even if the defenseless and bewildered wanderer fails to find it within the span of a single glance.

For the savior, and for the truth—for sound, like moonlight, endures forever.

Steadfast and unyielding. One must rise amidst every darkness. Though the path may sometimes be shrouded in shadow, sight is not required—for the heart’s light is the true guide. Surely, its price is a bright tomorrow, and that day shall come.

A war has erupted— right here, in my homeland, in this Middle East tangled in fear and unrest. Homes are reduced to rubble. Tiny angels drifted off to sleep and never woke again.

How did we become this cruel? How did indifference root so deep in the heart of humanity? What twisted belief convinces a so-called “human” to murder thousands of children, to wipe out countless innocent lives?

No, the world is not a beautiful place. Ask the children of Gaza. No, the world is not safe. Ask the merciless soldiers clutching nuclear arms. Though beware—their answers are lies.

And in the silence that follows the explosions, only the piano remains. A fragile refuge in an age of fire.
