I Believe in Father Christmas - Marc & Turkey Mix

This is a song I wrote in 2009 for my beautiful partner Tamsin about her Mum Marlene. She lost her Mum to a brain tumour in Jan 2009 and was there every step of the way for her Dad Keith throughout this and his own illness that soon followed. Every night at 8pm she'd go up to the cementary with her Dad and spend an hour or so at her Mum's graveside. This song tells the story of that time... Sadly Keith passed away to cancer himself in May 2011 and now he rests in peace beside Marlene in Wetherby cementary... RIP Marlene and Keith.... Your love lives on...

Her Love Lives On - Demo 1

Here's a demo I recorded last month for a new tune called BEFORE THE FLOOD.... It's just a quick 'live' demo but it's got a nice 'feel' I think.... If it ends up on my next solo album it'll be interesting to see how much it changes.... Oh, and it features me playing a very rare acoustic guitar solo... Watch out Clapton! :o)

This is a beautiful song from MARILLION. I was watching a blu-ray of Steve Hogarth singing this song on the piano and just thought... I really need to learn that tune. I recorded this demo version as I learnt the song for the first time.

I came across a picture of her when she was five years old and this whole song came from that moment. This is a song about new beginnings and starting again....
