Ukrainian duo Off Night served up the superb Suspended In Air tune recently featuring legendary vocalist Robert Owens, but now it gets revisited by Sascha Braemer and Oliver Schories on a pair of superb remixes.

Suspended In Air (Sascha Braemer Remix) is a dark tune with bulbous bass, heavy kicks and the sort of elastic late night energy to get the sweaty basement clubs marching. Suspended In Air (Oliver Schories Remix) is a much more deep and heady tune with warm, spine tingling chords and soft beats. It is like a perfect yin to the yang of the other remix and makes a fine package.

These are two more gems from the De Sad Secret label.

Following up to last year’s 'Alba' EP, Italian duo and label staples Moonwalk resurface on Stil vor Talent with their new three-tracker, 'Different People'. 

Tapping into the very vein of melodic techno they’ve become key exponents of over the years, this new EP finds Vizioli and Morabito serving up a trio of rolling club weapons primed for hectic night rides and sweat-inducing sessions both on and off the dancefloor. Featuring da Believer on vocals, the title-cut 'Different People' engineers a clever mix of 80s Casio synths, seesawing bass and cold-wave influence, all woven under the standard of Moonwalk’s trademark minimalistic sound design. 

Driven by a fevered momentum of EBM-laced arpeggios, the gravity-defying 'Lunar Field' flies us off to an otherworldly sonic journey where lusher-than-lush synth tapestries and melancholy-drenched echoes freely embrace and entangle symbiotically. Peppered with Narya’s sensuously ethereal vocals, 'Beyond The Lines' then subtly veers off into further introspective, trancey pop-informed territories. 

Easing us in its own bubble of weightless chords and cottony harmonics, the track keeps on swelling and blooming, slowly but surely morphing into a steadfast, open-air fest big-mover. After a series of groundbreaking singles: Pain In the Ass, Im Week and Ghetto Kraviz (featured here) Muscovite Nina Kraviz is set to release her eponymously titled debut artist album on Radio Slaves superb Rekids imprint. Ninas album is a combination of stripped-bare house, deepest Detroit sounds via beautifully ambient pockets and more soul infused slo-mo jams, all coated with an authentic analogue finish and Nina exquisite vocals. The music is emotive and engaging, whilst being something truly original and inspirational. The album features collaborations with Hard Ton and King Aus. Playing out like a full artistic statement rather than just a collection of tracks, the odd time signatures, innocent and waify vocals, muted acid lines and hypnotic loops layered up by Nina all work subtly at pulling you into her world. A superbly, executed and accomplished debut album that has already set the bar high for electronic albums this year.

Innellea return to Afterlife with another EP of unique dancefloor creations.

The duo first appeared on Afterlife late in 2018 with the striking sounds of Vigilans. They’re now back with four more tracks brimming with their signature, organic percussion and ever-original touch.

‘The White Blanket’ is hauntingly beautiful, with an eerie vocal and piercing synth line at its core. The title track is equally epic, balancing dark and bright, uplifting elements to a euphoric effect. ‘Visionquest’ and ‘We Thrive’ continue the theme with two singular and inspired takes on the Afterlife sound.

After the last breathtaking EP, „Salvation“, Ann Clue already produced her next success.
The past year she played numerous big festivals and famous club gigs such as Awakenings, Ushuaïa Ibiza, Warung in Brazil and many others worldwide.
With her last release „Trip“ she remained in the charts at Beatport for a long time and gained many new fans throughout different platforms.

„Analogic“, „State of Mind“ and „Outro" are the perfect trilogy for a first-class techno EP.

The title track „Analogic“ is the perfect prelude for an EP filled with exciting beats. The catchy sounds of this track put you immediately in a dancing mood. It´s an outstanding groove à la Ann Clue. 

„State of mind“ is a very celestial, spacy and sublime piece of music. It reminds you of an 80s movie score combined with a solid electronic beat. Just beautiful.

The final title „Outro“ is a fast forward, crystal clear and smashing track with a trancy arpeggiator.
It automatically causes a deep down physical sensation.
It´s a perfect ending to finish up a late night or an early morning session. 

In a nutshell, this EP sends us on a journey between time and space, on which we encounter powerful, majestic sounds and unusual sequences. They lead us directly into Ann Clues „Wonderland“.
Once again she created a masterpiece that inspires acid lovers, techno junkies as well as groove fanatics.

If you want a snapshot of where techno stands in any given year, and a preview of where it’s headed, look no further than Drumcode’s A-Sides compilation. Since 2012 it has marked the label debuts of countless vital Drumcode artists and affiliates, from Layton Giordani, Wehbba and Boxia, to Amelie Lens and ANNA, no less. Every year, new names are unearthed, tried and true techno contributors serve up their best, and icons of the industry land their debut on Adam Beyer’s storied label.

The 2020 edition hits with 13 tracks, eight coming from label debutants. There’s Eats Everything searing rave bomb ‘Organico’ and Dubfire’s ice-cool electro offering ‘Deadbug’, both artists landing their maiden contributions to DC after long affiliations with Beyer. With three EPs in less than two years on Truesoul, Oscar L steps up to DC, showing the breadth of his sound palette with a soaring, synth-laden gem ‘Dark Fate’. Belgians Joyhauser featured at last year’s Drumcode Festival paving the way for ‘Fierceness’, a beautiful melody-drenched cut befitting their DC cap. Anfisa Letyago is another first timer and shows why she’s one of the scene’s most highly touted new artists with the brooding beast ‘Are You In’. A growing label favourite, Juliet Fox follows up ‘Was Beautiful’, her superb track on last year’s A-Sides, with ‘Our Fantasy’, reinforcing her skill for crafting anthemic techno compositions. Thomas Schumacher & Victor Ruiz link and the result is ‘Intuit’, a sleek futuristic roller that hits you square between the eyes. Other highlights come from longtime Drumcode cohorts Reset Robot and Harvey McKay, who both dish up premium works, reinforcing their classy productions nous.

Tronic labels' head honcho, Christian Smith, returns to Tronic for his first single of the year. Fresh after his recent hit on Drumcode's A-Sides, he delivered two tracks that resemble his production style and music plays in his sets. 'Phazon' named after the famous sound system of the legendary New York club, Twilo, focuses on one main melody and forward driving energy. 'I called this track Phazon, because while I was producing it I incorporated an old school style melody and imagined how amazing it would have sounded on the insane Phazon system at Twilo in NYC. 'Hallucinate' is another adrenaline bomb, using analog rave sirens and a hypnotic female voice. This EP has been tested at many gigs before the global lockdown to great reactions.

Leipzig music hero Marcel Sterling aka Marc DePulse is back home with another timeless and strong EP called Born Sleepy, including new four originals plus a remix by Turkish icon and avant-garde mind Murat Uncuoglu.
The opening track is Born Sleepy, a timeless weapon with sweet intro, powerful rhythm and mind-blowing breakdown. The huge Nevertheless connects DePulse's indie touch with his last EP on Sincopat: super high-class synths and melodies into the beloved 90's atmosphere. Murat Uncuoglu offers a massive remix taking the original to the dance floor in a sharp but respecting the essence of the original mix. Spumanta is also breaking the rules of electronic music with an unpredictable base and composition. And last but not least, Hand Aufs Hertz perfectly closes the EP, Marc DePulse shows once again how important it is to know the past to write the future, he delivers a new forward-thinking release.
