Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. 'Boris' is the follow up to their successful mega-EP, 'Bernstein,' released in June, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER. Their next four-track EP shows the brothers' more serious, grownup side, taking new risks with no vocals, utilizing empty spaces and slower buildups. 'Boris' showcases proper club music: dark and sweaty Tech House with a hypnotic twist.
In the first track of the EP, self-titled "Boris," Sven and Lars go even deeper into their trance trajectory bridging on the darker side of Techno. The second track, "Dodge," takes listeners on a mystical journey playing with deep ambient sounds and a drop that makes your heart speed up. Tel Aviv-based producer Guy Mantzur (Kompakt / Bedrock / Diynamic) drops his hypnotic and seductive remix of "Boris," impossible not to get lost in. Additionally, Brazilian producer Victor Ruiz’s up-beat and complex remix of "Dodge" is not to be missed. Monkey Safari's dedication to their craft is catching the attention of industry dignitaries and fans alike with their consistent releases and non-stop international touring. Our crew at the Upon.You Records offices is keeping the release schedule busy these days, constantly scanning the scene for new and upcoming talent and keen to pick an exquisite selection of club tracks for the labels catalogue. Therefore we're glad to announce the arrival of Innellea, a highly talented production team from Munich which has been leaving some marks on the scene with their 2016 singles on Musica Autonomica and Underyourskin Records.Lillith, the first track on this three track single, is on a quite groove tip, presenting a hot, stripped down take on TechHouse as a solid foundation for intricate melodic structures which are ever building up until a warm and welcoming vintage synth motif caters heaps of bass for bubbling crowds.With the title track Apate the Munich-based duo brings in more decent tropical heat for heaving dancefloors which are getting an extra thrill from ever background percussions with a slightly latin-influenced twist, a distinct, repetetive motif, a super dense athmosphere and a sexy as fuck lead organ catering the ultimate, hormone-driven swing to set every club on fire. Finally Imignie weighs in a slightly more futuristic flavour, combining super dry bassdrums and micro sweeps in its intro sequence, later accompanied by a overwhelmingly climactive bass drone and spiralling synths sharing space with mystic atmospheres, all together taking us and the ravers on the floor to new, unexplored realms of out consciousness.

Marcus Meinhardt’s track “Hibiskuss” brings pulsating and warm tropical layers together, seducing its listener into total indulgence. The tribal percussions set the tone, shaking and grooving throughout the track and thus providing a framework for the beautiful melody. Having a light melancholic touch to it, which is underlined by the vocal elements, there is still a positive vibe radiating off the track. Through the build up it feels like you are taken on a journey following new, enchanting soundscapes, culminating in a twirl of bliss in the break. Don’t sit around and wait, have a cup of Dr. Meinhardt’s highly recommended “Hibiskuss” tea.
