This is the initiation of what we hope to continue - shooting techno / melodic techno / progressive / house / melodic house sets in the beautiful areas of Qatar. In our first edition, we are showcasing Lusail city in the FJ8 residential tower viewing the outstanding Katara Towers. Djs LAYMOON and the talented Marc Matar joined forces with leading videographer Youssef Yousry in bringing you a high energy B2B techno set packed with analog sounds, fat synths and drops beyond description. The techno scene in Qatar is developing with the help of local Djs and producers and we hope to showcase these talents.

BIO:

BLK is an electronic music lover based in Paris. His introduction to electronic music started at a very young age, when he was just ten. In the early 2000’ he was already embracing this art under its many forms; Trance, Techno, Minimal and House music. From there, he started shaping his own world through his biggest inspirations at that time such as Sasha, John Digweed, Dj Shah, Aly & Fila, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, Magda, Trentemøller and many others. Growing into a true fan of the electronic nightlife, he forthwith made it his addictive passion. BLK turned from a music lover to a music maker.

But nothing great happens overnight. Before revealing his talent to the world, BLK worked in the shadow for several years, learning, practicing and evolving with open heart and ears to new sounds and influences. As his background in electronic music became wider, he fell in love with new melodies, finding inspiration in the work of artists like Mira, Âme, Denis Horvat, Cliff De Zoete.

Today, BLK found his balance between diversity and uniqueness. Since he shaped his very personal touch, he is able of playing deep and melodic styles with various sonorities without losing his unique print. He defines this print as an “undeniably bold and precise melodious variation of House & Techno with hidden shades of darkness and exotic melancholic vibes”. From catchy and sensual rhythms to mesmerizing voices, BLK’s music is a form of poetry that will awaken all your senses and take listeners on a sonic journey they won’t soon forget.

Very passionate, BLK is now pushing his work to a whole other level. In order to share a more personal vision of electronic music with the universe, he is working on composing and producing his own music.

MELODIC SERIES #12 Hagai & Eyal

Hagai Rendler and Eyal Rabia are Dou DJ from Tel Aviv, Isreal. Friends for more than 30 years they always had the desire for electronic music, a desire which was grown and raised on the Tel Aviv clubs scene over the years. The love for the music and clubs took them for journeys in New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, London and Ibiza. Their passion for the music, brought them to change their spot to the other side of the DJ booth, where they thrilled to feel the crowd energy. Over the last 2 years they played in some of the best clubs and bars in Tel Aviv. Currently they have a bi-weekly, 2 hours radio show in the UnderGround Kollektiv British Radio and they had some guests shows like in "Who is in da house" Spanish radio, and finally they are looking forward for the next month when their debut track should be released in UDGK label.

Indeed, this diversity is evident in Kurt’s original releases on Cocuna Records, aswell as in his popular podcasts Outside the Box and Beach Podcast.

Kurt Kjergaard is the owner and founder of the well-known podcast series Beach Podcast on Soundcloud, where weekly DJ mixes from all over the world can be heard, from well-known DJs to newcomers. Kurt has started DJ-ing in the 90s and has played in various clubs in his city. He produces himself and has already made remixes for other artists. He is under contract with the record label Cocuná Records, but he has already released tracks on many other labels.
