The rāga saga is a series that acts as a cultural collectiva of our favourite artists from all over, Each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "colour the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this journey(raga), for this raga comes from a sweet friend, the absolutely gorgeous @katyagur

From her young age she was passionate about the music and techno parties and long time dreamed of being a DJ.
She have succeeded in realizing her dream in 2018. After graduating from DJ school “Studio 513" in her home city, Katya realized that she wanted to grow outside of her homeland and moved to live in Goa (India).
Katya is not afraid to experiment and mix different styles of music, and this all makes her sets interesting and unique.

Has been producing music for more than a year. Every KatyaGur’s track hits the top of beatport charts.
She has released her second track of her own in November 2021 which is called “Bazaar”, which took the first position in the style of Indie Dance on Beatport.
She is a participant of the festival “The Gardens Of Babylon” in India.

At the moment Katya is traveling a lot around the world and is staying in different countries. She is getting an unlimited amount of new experience and inspiration. And this is all about bringing joy and happiness to you with her music.

https://soundcloud.com/dlozada-1 was (and still is) a singer having sung in numerous Honor Choirs, including the National Symphonic Choir of Costa Rica. La Dj says singing was the primordial beginning of her start and evolution as a DJ. Singing a cappella in choirs with 8-9 part vocal arrangements ranging from Baroque to Chamber to Gospel to Renaissance to singing with a Symphonic Orchestra, taught her music composition, which she draws heavily upon when selecting tracks and mixing.

Although she does not play an instrument (besides Technics turntables and her Pioneer XDJ-RR console 😉), La Dj believes that the human voice is the primordial instrument; at least for her, it has been. Her extensive knowledge and experience with singing, as well as her understanding of musical composition, especially her adept understanding and interpretation of harmonization, caught the attention of several of her DJ/Producer friends who all suggested she take up DJing. And that’s how her story as a DJ began.

What is her interpretation of “primordial” and how does this mix relate to that? La Dj says, “To me, primordial is the beginning of that very moment; it’s the space wherein the past and the current moment meet to create the future. That’s the space I use when I mix and blend tracks”. 

She continues, “We all have this space; every moment is a primordial moment when we can incorporate the past (the Energies of our ancestors, the origins of our pain and pleasure, and the lessons we have learned) and create something positively new. What we do with this information is up to us. How do you create your primordial future? 

Music is one of my ways, and by creating this mix and your listening means that YOU are also part of my primordial future just as I now am part of yours. 😉 “

LA DJ's story for us is a journey on a lonely path through the wilderness that eventually makes its way home to a heart full of love.  It is travelled by a passionate soul who has felt betrayed and abandoned, yet finds fulfillment and meaning in the end.  The soul wanders mysterious roads in ancient lands, thirsting and hungering for a vision of light.  The soul walks the road of contrasts and impossible odds.  We finally reach our destination, realizing that the soul is us.

zijn is the Dutch word for 'to be‘. And that is Music, for us, as healing in the Now. But how long is Now? ∞ In zijn’s family of origin, music has been heard since prehistoric times as the essential art of all the arts, which were omnipresent from an early age. He was literally born with the talent of the sound artist. Some instruments shaped the career and the basic emotional feeling. When he was growing up, the first attempts came with old, cheap CD-Players to Mix Techno. And later then, Downtempo discovered zijn’s constant 'permacreative' urge to create and so began a timeless journey through electronic worlds of sound, sometimes melodious, sometimes deep, sometimes hypnotic, sometimes colorfully mixed and then again simply and with organic influences.

✘ So tell me what was your first track you fell in love with during your childhood?
✘ The first one I remember is 'Fools Garden - Lemon Tree', was actually playing in hospital when I got out in the world (said my parents) :D
✘ ...and the last track you digged?
✘ I really fell in love with 'Trippin Jaguar & Onaia - Noku Mana' over the past months.. always listening again in certain moods.
✘ ...and maybe could you tell us how did you get into the music cooking pot ?
✘ After listening to a lot of electronic Dj&Live Sets back in school I wanted to know what I need to make my own journeys with the tracks I love.. in the beginning just for myself and longer rides.. so I found out about music cooking, bought my first controller and taught it myself. This was long before I could experience clubby nightlife. Many things changed in the last 10 years, but my love for creating&listening to journeys stayed the same.
