Friction returns to Elevate Records with the Circadian remix of ‘Remember’.

The third remix from his second studio album ‘After Dark’, which has amassed over 200 million online streams; ‘Remember’ gets the remix treatment from rising star Circadian.  Formerly one-half of drum & bass powerhouse The Prototypes, since going solo in 2022 Circadian has had a string of hit records which have dominated download charts and dancefloors across the world, highlighted by excellent collaborations with Koven, SOTA and Dirtyphonics.  His synth-inspired take on vocal anthem ‘Remember’ is sure to be another instant hit.

The remix is part of a huge year for Friction which has already included an official remix for D.O.D and a headlining set at Drumsheds in London. With lots of exciting new music in the pipeline and a Summer touring schedule of 20+ festivals expect a lot more from Friction very soon.

Friction returns to Shogun Audio, the iconic drum & bass label he started 20 years ago, with a stunning reworking of Monrroe & Emily Makis’ classic ‘Never Too Old’.  

Since launching Shogun Audio in 2004 with a remix of jungle anthem ‘R Type’, Friction has welcomed some of D&B’s finest to the label over the past two decades, including the likes of Alix Perez, DJ Marky, Pola & Bryson, Icicle, Technimatic and DRS among many others.  

 The imprint has also acted as proving ground for some of the scene’s best up-and-coming talent, and no two have stood out like Monrroe & Emily Makis.  After both debuting on Shogun in 2019, they have established themselves as rising stars within UK dance music in the years that followed.   Their track ‘Never Too Old’ from the ’15 Years of Shogun Audio LP’ has cemented itself as a fan favourite across the globe, and it’s now fitting that Friction delivers a new anthemic version to commemorate the label’s 20th year.

The celebrations continue for the rest of 2024, with ’20 Years of Shogun’ club nights, festival takeovers and a lot more exciting records celebrating the past & future of one of D&B’s most beloved institutions.

Hot off the back of the success of their latest single 'Waterfall', one of dance music's most in-demand duos returns to Shogun Audio with an incredible slice of euphoric drum and bass - some of the most magical work they've produced to date. I'm a lover of all forms of music.  I grew up with Hip Hop. I went through the rave scene at it's height and developed a love for Drum and Bass and Deep House. For me, DnB and Rap are intrinsically linked and the beauty of both is that they introduce you to music from all corners. Trance / Deep House just fills me with emotion. Music talks to my soul. It doesn't matter what genre. If it's good, then I'm all for it.
