Marcel is a singer songwriter, born and raised in London. 
He began writing songs and playing the guitar at the age of 18,much inspired by artists such as Kurt Cobain and Jeff Buckley.
"When a friend introduced me to the music of Nirvana, it compelled me to express myself and write songs that show real naked emotion"
And so began his musical journey.
 
In his mid 20’s, Marcel began to take the guitar and his song writing more seriously, playing at open mic nights and small gigs to test out new material.
"The reactions I got at some of the gigs really inspired me to write and learn more songs, each time I performed I grew in confidence" He explains,
"performing is like oxygen to me, I need it to breath"
"There are many ways to tell stories and so many different mediums to tell them in, but, music is, and always will be, my first love"
 
His soulful voice has a blistering edge and can lull an audience into a sweet surrender, or whip them into a rowdy frenzy. 
Never conforming to type, Marcel has many elements to his style. With influences that include, Fiona Apple, Led Zeppelin, Lenny Kravitz, Ray Lamontagne,John Martyn and Van Hunt, to name but a few.

That’s what Marcel does so well, he blends his influences, conventional and alternative, to create his own unique sound.
At present, he is in the process of getting a band together and currently working on his debut album, which is not too far away from completion.
