...one of my best festival experiences ever. Ricardo played for hours and hours, refusing to stop. Even when security took his headphones aways he was still playing another record and another record, and so on... Side note: This might be a fake set, done by a fan... It surfaced around 2006 on the forums of mnml.nl. Even today I am not quite sure if it is really Ricardo's set from back then, but it contains some "Ricardo signature tunes" for sure.

Of Turkish origins but born and raised just outside of Zurich, Alci’s entry into DJing came via Hip Hop and street culture, trying his hand at graffiti and breakdancing before discovering turntables. Igniting his passion for music, his taste has evolved over the years, shifting into the electronic world where he now places his sound between funky House grooves and minimalistic Techno.

At the age of 17 he was already on the Zurich circuit and today is called upon to play all around the world - tINI&Gang, Fuse London, Caprice Festival, Rex Club, Gesthouse, Resolute NY, Un_Mute and more. A self-professed vintage head, when it comes to his own productions he’s keen to strike the balance between analogue gear and new technology.

I had a modern classical/electronica mix from a friend (JamBon) which I had been listening to a lot, and after a weekend away the original of this track was really stuck in my head. At some point I clicked that it sounded just like the style of another friend - Hiatus, and on checking, it was him! So I got straight on email to him asking if I could have the parts, and I even got started on the remix before they arrived by buying the mp3 and starting to lay some ideas around that - When it's on I find it's best to go with it. It was a really enjoyable remix to do given how beautiful the original parts are, my mix is quite similar really, as I couldn't improve on it melodically, I've just tried to add some of my own flavour and twists.

 The singers from the first Lulu Rouge album, Alice Carreri and Tuco have also crafted super strong songs to the album, and when the Danish music legend Annisette Koppel said yes to work on a song for this album, the Lulu's had everything they needed to shape the this deeply intensifying new album.  

 "THE SONG IS IN THE DRUM" are 11 tracks all dreamed, shaped and produced by two of Denmarks most skilled and respected producers, Torsten "Buda" Jacobsen and Thomas "T.O.M" Bertelsen. They have created an album which will grab you by the heart and keep you prisoner for 53 minutes straight. Welcome to the brightest dark place you've ever been. Release date: 29. April 2013

Lulu Rouge feat Fanney Osk - Landscape Of Love

We are pleased to begin the new year with him. After his legendary single "Coconut Blues", Gabriel Ananda is back on Treibstoff. The title track "Love Attack" has the Ananda-typical earthy grooves. Strings prepare the way to a seemingly organic bassline and take us on a lucky emotional trip. "Open Up" is a very tricky piece of techno and developes an incredible suction that the room can become a vacuum. For the remix of "Open Up" Treibstoff hired Stuttgart-based artist Till Krüger from the buddy label 200 Records. For his version, he did not chose his rapid Detroit sound, but leaves the original sounds appear in a mood that recalls dubs of the legendary "GAS" project by Wolfgang Voigt.
