We welcome Spanish pianist and composer Nel Aique to the ad21 family with his new single Riveries.
Aique’s story with music began as a childhood dream, when he first discovered the piano. Years later, that dream turned into a true passion, shaping a voice that seeks beauty through simplicity.

Riveries is a serene and contemplative piece, touched with cinematic elegance, its gentle flow evokes the stillness of a misty day, inviting quiet reflection and inner calm. ad21.

The Narcissist

I write by following instinct more than theory. Everything starts with a melody I sing into my phone or a riff I played on guitar (or both). A line that carries the shape and emotion of the song before anything else exists. From there, more guitar or keys fill in the harmony and the rest of the idea begins to unfold. 

Once the core is in place, I build the production around it: beats, bass, guitars, synths, atmosphere. The vocal line remains the spine of the track. Modern tools let me shape its tone in different directions, but they follow the phrasing and movement I’ve already sung. The idea stays intact; it’s just given a different skin. 

When the structure feels right, I take it back into Logic to refine and finish: replacing guitars, adding small details, shaping warmth and texture, and pushing the mix until it carries the weight of that first melodic spark.

Some songs arrive quickly. Others take their time. Alt-pop gives me the freedom to let each one grow into its own mood.
