Italo Deviance (real name Marcello Giordani) began his artistic journey in the
1990s in Italy, during the height of the House Music phenomenon. He was an
avid attendee of record fairs, always on the hunt for USA-style Disco vinyl,
amassing an extensive collection. He also performed at some of Italy's best
parties, such as Cocoricò, Echoes, Matis, Kinki and more.
In the early 2000s, he developed a passion for and began collecting Italo
Disco vinyl, often for just a few cents. In 2008, he founded a blog called Italo
Deviance with the mission of promoting the most obscure tracks and
versions of early 1980s Italian dance music.
From 2011 to 2023, he became part of the duo Marvin & Guy , which has since evolved into Circle Point Circle. At the start of 2024, Marcello resumed work on his label,
Italo Deviance Music , embarking on a rebranding effort.
This new phase explores underground electronic music without sticking to a
specific genre, discovering and producing talented artists in both digital and
vinyl formats. He places no particular emphasis on their social media hype,
focusing solely on the music.
This philosophy gave rise to the motto:
"Italo Deviance, where only the music matters."

Pour ce numéro 159, on a le plaisir d'avoir l'enregistrement du dernier set de I/D alias @marcellogiordani pour Bodycode à PWCC (Parmes) ! Fondateur du label "Italo Deviance" qui a l'époque proposait un blog plein d'édits disco et italo, Marcello est l'une des figures clés de la scène Disco italienne en plein essor.
Marcello a commencé son parcours artistique dans les années 1990 en Italie, au plus fort du phénomène House Music. Il était un habitué des salons du disque, toujours à la recherche de vinyles Disco de style américain, amassant une vaste collection.
Au début des années 2000, il a développé une passion pour les vinyles Italo Disco et a commencé à les collectionner, souvent pour quelques centimes seulement.
En 2008, il a fondé un blog appelé Italo Deviance avec pour mission de promouvoir les morceaux et les versions les plus obscurs de la musique dance italienne du début des années 1980.
De 2011 à 2023, il fait partie du duo Marvin & Guy, qui est depuis devenu Circle Point Circle. Au début de 2024, Marcello a repris le travail sur son label, Italo Deviance Music, en se lançant dans un effort de rebranding.
Cette nouvelle phase explore la musique électronique underground sans se limiter à un genre spécifique, en découvrant et en produisant des artistes talentueux aussi bien en format numérique que vinyle. 2025 Re-press of this classic EP by Marcello Giordani! This one was originally released on vinyl back in 2006 on our now defunct sub-label “Players Paradise” and was one of the first ever releases by Marcello Giordani who went on to become a household name in the scene and a man of many successes. Currently he is making waves with his “Italo Deviance Music” label and productions under his alias “I/D”.

Get in these three fine cuts again in a superb re-mastered quality. From the Italo inspired “Narcos” to the deeper and darker B-side Disco gems “Change Position” and “Prova 2”. We are sure these tracks will rock your dance floors again this spring and summer. Enjoy!

The first new Electro Clash tracks from Break 3000 since 2003! After a string of re-issues of old gems on Italy’s “Mondo Phase”, the Argentinian label “Calypso’s Dream” and his own “Electron Feel” last year, Break 3000 is finally back with some new original cuts!

The A-side “Electronique” has all the ingredients you would want from a hard-hitting Electro Clash track. EBM style drums and a powerful raw bass line topped with soaring rave leads and pads and added original (Vocoder) vocals by Break 3000 himself. This one is road tested already on dance floors and big systems and a guaranteed crowd pleaser! Second up is the driving “Continua”, leaning more towards Break 3000 Techno classics like “Flash” and “Fix” this filtered rave lead will make a wild crowd go even wilder. Dark and twisted Electro Techno at its best.

The B-side opens with another aspect of the Break 3000 sound spectrum. We look back to the early years here and to songs like “The Wait” and “Spacemaschinenreise” that were produced in 1999. In a Detroit meets Rotterdam styled Electro setting this song uses a lot of the old sounds from 26 years ago, mostly coming from his original EMU sampler used at the time and a great 80s vocal sample gives this track it’s title. We are transported back to the golden era of Cold Wave here. Closing out this new EP is the wonderful Marcello Giordani from Parma, Italy who build a strong reputation with his “Italo Deviance” label over the years. He gives the original “Electronique” a great funky “Proto House” bass line in best “Bobby Orlando” manner, what a brilliant crossover track this one is! With the Vermona drum sounds his - Dark Disco meets Early House - jam will certainly be on many DJ’s want list.
