Had the pleasure of playing the opening 3 hours of Wibar in Leiden's sold out 6th Birthday! 

I wanted to work my way up from 110bpm house (think David Morales Def mixes) to peaktime records and it flowed nicely and ended up being one of my most fun sets in a while, there's something special about going from an empty club to it being packed out.

Omar Meftah, widely recognized as ‘Meftah’, is a Detroit-based producer, DJ, and visionary behind Musha Publishing.
 
With a foundation rooted in multi-instrumentalism and beatmaking, Meftah’s musical oeuvre transcends genres, encapsulating what he terms as the ‘Sounds of the Diaspora’.
 
In 2020, he released his debut EP, ‘Information Travels Through' (AOM001), marking the inception of his Musha Publishing imprint, and carving out a distinctive sonic identity within Detroit’s illustrious music landscape.
 
In addition to his solo endeavors, Meftah boasts and impressive repertoire of collaborative works, including co-production credits on Amp Fiddler's 'Keep Coming' remixes under Moodymann's Mahogani Music (MM-43, 2019), and instrumental contributions to Black Noi$e's 'OBLIVION' album released on Earl Sweatshirt's Tan Cressida Records (2020). His talents have further garnered recognition through appearances on !K7 Records’ DJ-Kicks: Theo Parrish (K7414LP, 2022), solidifying his position as a prominent figure in Detroit’s musical community.

Lumberjacks in Hell has been founded in 2010. Intimate Friends followed in 2013. For some people the difference or the need for distinction between these two is quite evident but to give you an idea. Lumberjacks is always 100% for the dance floor, inspired by the music from Chicago and Detroit which is not only reflected in the Artists we release. Intimate Friends is a headier affair. Soul, Hip Hop and House are all fair game. If you check the releases next to each other both labels have a distinct sound. And maybe a certain BPM range. This isn't saying that some of the music couldn't have appeared on either label but somehow it all makes sense to me.
