Dutch prolific artist Reinier Zonnerveld had a fantastic 2016. 'Things We Might Have Said' was one of the tracks of the year but he released a lot of great stuff in labels like Stir Von Talent among many others. He delivered a great work with his remix for Moby’s 'Natural Blues' as well and finally, here we have his official debut EP on the kitties label. Four techno tracks with different atributes: dreamy, muscled, epic, powerful, deep, melodic and dirty feelings inside of them. Up-to-date techno music of one of the men of the moment.

The much heralded and influential Body Language series returns with its highly anticipated twenty-first instalment featuring Djuma Soundsystem. The compilation is brimming with original productions by the extraordinary artist himself and this dark contribution to the project - a remix by Armonica of 'Soma'. 

Djuma Soundsystem, an experienced and acclaimed Norwegian artist, is known for serving up magical tribal grooves imbued with deep feelings and melodious rhythms. He has graced small intimate clubs and bustling festival main stages alike with his warm vibes and has released on this label as well as the likes of Rebirth, Crosstown Rebels, Zehn and Sol Selectas. Armonica, the charismatic Italian duo from Riccione, have been making people take notice for several years. They were previously both residents of the infamous Cocorico club and formed a close friendship before deciding to bring their musical projects together. 

Their debut release was on Berlin-based label Bar 25 Music and reached the Deep House Top 100 on Beatport. With great support from the likes of Dixon, Ame, Solomun, Black Coffee, + Andhim, their work is achieving the recognition they always thought was within their reach.

It’s been a year since I released originals and since then I also gave my studio a big make-over. 
I have gone back to being more analog/hardware based in my production methods again and I guess in some ways you can hear that in this release. 
For “Damage Control” I chose 3 tracks I felt had different vibes to them.  

Psychosis carries a familiar Noir Music sound with a very in your face beat and musical message. 
Damage Control is a more groovy track build around modular synths and a filthy bass that cuts through the soundscape. 
Autophagy is a fast-paced monster with percussive intensity and FM synthesis filtering in and out through the entire journey.

  The tracks have ofcourse been roadtested and believe me even the smaller details changed a lot over time to fit my personal taste 100% After a long process I am finally happy with the tracks and ready to present “Damage Control”.

Our first release of the new decade comes from Mike Koglin in the shape of Sphere, a driving progressive house gem that combines pulsating bass lines with soaring arpeggios and gritty analogue synth stabs. Mike has been busy in the studio working on a series of deeper progressive and techno productions, so watch out for more from this prodigious producer!

Sphere receives the remix treatment from Movement Machina who delivers a superb stripped-back, percussion-heavy interpretation of the original. With recent releases on labels such as Toolroom, ZeroThree and Mango Alley, the Helsinki-based producer and remixer has rapidly built a strong reputation in the scene with his distinctive style.

Tribute

Dominik Eulberg, of Traumschallplatten, Cocoon and Kompakt notoriety, presents the next installment of the Hertzblut Recordings EP series in the form of ‘Backslash’. The two track release instantly conveys Eulberg’s unique living organism aesthetic, a more than welcome offering for fans who have felt his amount of original output slow down over recent years.

‘Backslash’ opens with ‘Opel Tantra’, a delectable example of a living, breathing techno orchestra in full effect. Here, a classic kick drum meets rejoicing, iridescent strings that sing and swell in the fore until a funky bass riff takes the entire score straight into dance floor territory. B-side ‘Noch Ein Bass im Ärmel’ sees plucked strings and key stabs pick out an alluring groove, as distant chimes twinkle evoking the enchanted forest ever-present in Eulberg’s thoughts. Just as you’re on the cusp of entering a dream like state, Eulberg reminds us all of his four-to-the-floor techno credentials, dropping a dark and rumbling bass line and driving percussions into the mix.

'UK Production duo Tibasko are fast making a name for themselves as one of the most exciting names in the underground electronic music scene. With releases on Toolroom, Stress Records and Street Tracks in their back-catalogue, Andy Bowden and Ken Petalcorin are expanding their collection of club-friendly anthems with the ‘Only You’ EP. Showcasing the immense musical and technical ability the Hertfordshire producers possess, it’s a two-sided release that touches on elements of Techno, Breaks and Trance in a potent blend that’s entirely their own. 

Raised on a diet of House, Techno & Electronica - The producer duo were quick to make their mark on the scene after forming in 2017. Their ability to fuse complex melodic motifs, with heavy production elements from the techno and breaks scene - Has led to support from the likes of The Blessed Madonna, Annie Mac, Denis Sulta, Pete Tong & plenty more. They’ve also developed their live performances and DJ sets, performing at well-known events such as Percolate, El Dorado Festival and Drumcode. 
 
Returning with a brand new two-track EP on London label Another Rhythm, the two tracks showcase the depth of the duo's production standard. ‘Only You’ draws on an epic drum break that forms the foundation of the track, before introducing a hypnotic reece bass and lush vocal hooks on the transitions. The second track ‘Galahad’ employs a 4X4 structure in a powerful piece of techno that leaves us begging for the clubs to reopen. '
