Squarehead is the latest young producer to sparkle on Shabby Doll, with his “Bats & Stuff” EP delivering yet more bump and wallop for the discerning house head. Otherwise known as Oliver Ledger, Squarehead is possessed of a precocious talent – his debut “Keep It Moving” EP on Bad Taste was a Juno Download number one, while his records have won hard-earned airplay on Radio One thanks to supporters like Toddla T and Skream – and with DJ appearances across Europe plus his own 5ANDSEVEN label, he's right at the heart of Sheffield's current underground scene.

Squarehead's latest is a collection of crisp house tracks that crackle with a twitching percussive energy and exert a warm bass embrace; titled “Bats and Stuff”, the release features five new tunes built for the dancefloor, including remixes by Shabby Doll fellow travellers Jack Fell Down and Francois Le Roy & Nanni.

This February will see the second instalment of the Omnibeats Compilation series with ‘Standing The Test of Time’ mixed by Stefano Esposito & Timmy P.

The Omnibeats Compilation series will see artists dig back through the catalogue of Champion Records and Kerri Chandler’s MadTech and Madhouse imprints, as well as Bad Boys and Rogue Industries to deliver a fresh mix of the precursory output, as well as the original content being offered up alongside the mix. Following the Italian duo Marsupials' 1st instalment, we have a great offering from Stefano Esposito & Timmy P, known for their work with both Madhouse and Madtech, as well as Local Talk, Seven Music and others..

With those affiliate labels in mind it’s no surprise to hear the boys’ mix laced with soulful house sounds such as Kerri Chandler & Jerome Sydenham's 'Powder', Citizen's 'So Submissive' as well as more recent releases like their own 'Don't Be' which did amazing on Madhouse ADE sampler in 2015 and Kalyde's 'On Me'.

The ‘Standing The Test of Time’ Mixed by Stefano Esposito & Timmy P compilation is out on Omnibeats on the 26th of February.

Known for a melting-pot sound fused by a key drive to compose deep and soulful electronic music, the duo’s take on ‘Do You Want Me Baby’ slots perfectly into these eclectic ideals; a warm serving of bass-driven house with depth, the result. Pioneering Chicago house producer, songwriter and four time GRAMMY® Award-nominee, Steve Silk Hurley is renowned for his signature mixing skills and diverse mixing style. His immense creative skill also transfers to his production, seeing him sell millions of records and working with the likes of Prince, Madonna, Michael Jackson, R. Kelly and Mary J. Blige.

Written and produced by Hurley, ‘Jack Your Body’ quickly earned the distinction of being the UK’s first house music chart topper and all through club exposure alone, paving the way for the acid house sound. It is a landmark track in the history of house.

Originally released on pioneering Chicago house label, S&S Records, Doorly brings ‘Jack Your Body’ bang up to date for release on powerhouse label, Toolroom Records.
