Young Techno upstarts Clouds debut their hard an aggressive sound on Soma with the ‘Complete Control’ EP. 2013 has been a fast paced year for the two Scottish natives that has seen them release their debut album on Tiga’s Turbo Recordings plus a host of top quality singles to critical acclaim. Their razor sharp production that fuses elements of Techno, Rave and UK Bass music has garnered attention from many of electronic music’s biggest names. Their first Soma EP displays maturity in style as they unleash 3 ferocious Techno weapons.

‘Complete Control’ tears the EP open. A chopped and noisy beat is bent round slashing, white noise covered drums setting the tone for this beastly release. A hint of restraint is brought about however as a droning vocal sample pulses from beyond allowing a momentary rest bite from the upcoming onslaught of machinegun snare patterns and intense drum workouts. 

 3Talisman-Class Destroyer does exactly what it says on the tin. A typically powerful Clouds kick sounds off while clanking, industrial percussion keep the rhythm perfectly. Another well-used vocal cut adds to the groove and the percussion begins to step a notch with hollow drums going into full attack mode.  

39.844 g_mol polishes of the EP in even more devastating fashion. Sent straight from the darkness, this track bursts into our reality with deadly force. Driving sub bass, stuttered rhythms and distorted percussion, typical of Clouds is all there. 

Clouds are definitely making their mark on the current Techno scene with their blistering tunes that pull no punches. This dynamic duo are a welcome addition to the wealth of Scottish Techno exports.

Techno legend Marco Bailey debuts on Amazing Records with an incendiary track and an uncompromising remix along with fellow Belgian superstar Redhead. The long-time veteran shows here his straightforward talent and his unique production skills: his well-documented release list goes back to the mid-nineties, spanning almost two decades of underground music, and has brought him to play at some of the most acclaimed festivals and parties worldwide such as Tomorrowland, Time Warp, Awakenings and I Love Techno. His guest appearances at Ibiza&#8217;s Space have become a staple in the white island&#8217;s scene, and his dj performances are in steady demand. Label owners MiniCoolBoyz team up with Italian sensations NHB for their own take on Bailey&#8217;s tune, and the VA also features a special contribution by Milan&#8217;s badass Giorgio Rusconi. &#8220;Stir It Up&#8221; opens with a vibrating percussive groove and a crescendo of filtered vocals that explode into a bass driven relentless swinging rhythm, while the remix is a darker rework with a mammoth chugging kick drum and hypnotic twitching synth stabs which give out a sinister and creepy vibe. &#8220;Pulsar&#8221;&#8216;s atmospheric techno and rollickin bounce lead through a spaced out journey, whereas Bailey and Redhead&#8217;s remix is upbeat and filled with galloping sounds and big analog pulses. Chris Liebing comes back to his CLR label this April with the ‘Phantom Rider’ EP, already supported by Daniel Avery, GiGi FM, Jon Hester, and more. The first track, ‘Kaizen’, doesn’t hold back - pounding drums, cavernous dub chords, and a razor-sharp snare-laden groove all play a part in this peak-time offering. Liebing’s ‘Wailer’ completes the package, continuing with more rough and raw rhythm and wonky, unfiltered 303 lines, making for a fantastic follow-up to his acclaimed version of Emmanuel Top’s acid techno hit, ‘Turkish Bazaar’, which closed out CLR’s 2024 and has stayed at the top of the Beatport Techno charts throughout 2025.

Founded by influential techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists like Shlomi Aber, Dubfire, Flug, Bjarki, DJ Dextro and more while also focusing on developing newer acts in the scene such as Risa Taniguchi, The Southern, and Klint.

Belgian producer K-Deey joins Say What? with a powerful statement in the form of the Delulu EP — a hypnotic, rolling, and groove-driven collection of four finely crafted techno cuts.

The EP kicks off with 'Delulu' - built around a pulsating low-end and tight, swinging percussion, this track teases and evolves with subtle oldschool stabs and hypnotic vocal snippets that seem to echo from a distant dimension. The result is a track that keeps the floor locked in while allowing the mind to drift — a perfect opener for setting a deep, rolling mood

Next up is 'Whimsical', a deeper and more introspective offering. Here, K-Deey leans into a hypnotic loop structure, with subtly evolving synth phrases and a dubby bassline that anchors the track. There’s a dreamlike quality in the textures, creating a perfect final chapter for the EP. It’s a track that invites inner reflection just as much as it commands movement.

The third track on the release is '16:1' - a sharp, percussive groove lays the groundwork for layered synth stabs and intricate hi-hat patterns that push the track forward relentlessly. There's a mechanical yet playful edge here — a kind of controlled chaos — making it ideal for peak-time energy without ever becoming too obvious. The minimal arrangement leaves space for DJs to stretch and manipulate in the mix.

Closing the EP is 'Tachitita', diving into more Electro techno territory. The groove is warm and bouncy, led by metalic-inspired rhythms and interlocking drum patterns that evoke a sense of ritualistic movement. Unexpected dark textures and tonal percussion elements flicker across the stereo field, giving this track a playful but driving character that keeps dancers engaged and guessing.

Marco Bailey whips up a one-tracker for his own MB Elektronics, raising the Techno bar once again.

Building carefully from the get-go, "Greedy Convention" is dipped in atmospherics with its spoken-word vocal, ghostly effects and pulsing subs.

A mutating synth riff creeps into the track, while hectic rises make their appearance and add more tension to the ride. Ultimately, we are dealing with a jacking Techno powerhouse as a testament to Marco Bailey's seasoned skills.

Marco Bailey is somewhat considered an icon when it comes to techno and the dance music industry as a whole. It starts with a beat, and for Marco that as in the late 80’s. In 2014 he celebrated 25 years of Marco Bailey, a true achievement for someone who is an ambassador for the scene as well as an amazing DJ and producer. 

He grew up in Belgium, and it all started out when he went to a small local club in his nearby city. At this point, he knew little and didn't have any musical heroes, but soon released that he would rather be behind the decks than on the dance floor. 

His break came in 2000 with his first EP on Carl Cox’s Intec imprint with “Play It Back”. Over the next couple of years he worked on his own imprint, launching MB Elektronics, with the first release in 2002 with “Caprioska”. The releases came flowing over the next few years, which saw the release of his critically acclaimed “Rube Boy” album back in 2004, soon followed by “Dragon Man” LP on John Digweed’s Bedrock in 2011.

His most recent album was with 12 track “High Volume” released back in 2013 on MB Elektronics, dubbed by some techno aficionados as a masterpiece. It was at this time, he also released an up close and personal documentary “Marco Bailey”.

His Electronic Force radio show has been a huge success from the get-go, with almost 300 episodes to date, he has had every artist on board from Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, Umek, Joseph Capriati, Sam Paganini and Carlo Lio. It’s heard by millions of listeners in more than 50 countries.

Marco has been touring relentlessly throughout his career, he’s an artist who can say he has probably played at almost every club in the world, and been listed at the top of major festivals. He hasn't stopped, and this summer was no exception his MATERIA brand taking a new home at Vista Club, Ibiza. Every Sunday, he offered artists including Sam Paganini, Carlo Lio, Julian Jewell, and Paul Ritch for the closing on the 28th August all came out to party with Marco and the crowd.

You can expect to see the MATERIA brand reach far and wide this year, with parties in London, Vienna, Amsterdam and Tokyo planned this winter. Mid October will see the release of the MATERIA compilation mix, a collection of tracks selected personally by Marco, of both his own releases and all the artists which played at MATERIA in Ibiza this summer. 

2017 continues to be another landmark year for Marco, with his first MATERIA residency considered a huge success, the brand looks to move worldwide, becoming a high-profile label and radio show as well and continuing to grow. He is a true pioneer of Techno, and has no plans to put on the brakes anytime soon.
