Young Techno upstarts Clouds debut their hard an aggressive sound on Soma with the ‘Complete Control’ EP. 2013 has been a fast paced year for the two Scottish natives that has seen them release their debut album on Tiga’s Turbo Recordings plus a host of top quality singles to critical acclaim. Their razor sharp production that fuses elements of Techno, Rave and UK Bass music has garnered attention from many of electronic music’s biggest names. Their first Soma EP displays maturity in style as they unleash 3 ferocious Techno weapons.

‘Complete Control’ tears the EP open. A chopped and noisy beat is bent round slashing, white noise covered drums setting the tone for this beastly release. A hint of restraint is brought about however as a droning vocal sample pulses from beyond allowing a momentary rest bite from the upcoming onslaught of machinegun snare patterns and intense drum workouts. 

 3Talisman-Class Destroyer does exactly what it says on the tin. A typically powerful Clouds kick sounds off while clanking, industrial percussion keep the rhythm perfectly. Another well-used vocal cut adds to the groove and the percussion begins to step a notch with hollow drums going into full attack mode.  

39.844 g_mol polishes of the EP in even more devastating fashion. Sent straight from the darkness, this track bursts into our reality with deadly force. Driving sub bass, stuttered rhythms and distorted percussion, typical of Clouds is all there. 

Clouds are definitely making their mark on the current Techno scene with their blistering tunes that pull no punches. This dynamic duo are a welcome addition to the wealth of Scottish Techno exports.

Techno legend Marco Bailey debuts on Amazing Records with an incendiary track and an uncompromising remix along with fellow Belgian superstar Redhead. The long-time veteran shows here his straightforward talent and his unique production skills: his well-documented release list goes back to the mid-nineties, spanning almost two decades of underground music, and has brought him to play at some of the most acclaimed festivals and parties worldwide such as Tomorrowland, Time Warp, Awakenings and I Love Techno. His guest appearances at Ibiza&#8217;s Space have become a staple in the white island&#8217;s scene, and his dj performances are in steady demand. Label owners MiniCoolBoyz team up with Italian sensations NHB for their own take on Bailey&#8217;s tune, and the VA also features a special contribution by Milan&#8217;s badass Giorgio Rusconi. &#8220;Stir It Up&#8221; opens with a vibrating percussive groove and a crescendo of filtered vocals that explode into a bass driven relentless swinging rhythm, while the remix is a darker rework with a mammoth chugging kick drum and hypnotic twitching synth stabs which give out a sinister and creepy vibe. &#8220;Pulsar&#8221;&#8216;s atmospheric techno and rollickin bounce lead through a spaced out journey, whereas Bailey and Redhead&#8217;s remix is upbeat and filled with galloping sounds and big analog pulses. Marco Bailey strikes back on MB Elektronics with an absolutely massive release. &#8216;The Black Widow&#8217; is a pure class from start to finish. Every detail is lovingly crafted from techno kicks to a devastating bassline that enter exactly the right moment. This production it feels like you could dance to it forever. Next on is an edit mix. This production is a bouncy techno number, driven by a chicaning bassline and some irresistible effects. Brutal and brilliant, the whole release is simply an essential addition to your box. This is nonetheless and incredibly strong release from Marco Bailey to his very own imprint MB Elektronics.

Moving Pressure 03 lands as Rene Wise’s third release on his imprint. With a refined approach to rhythm and restraint, the artist once again distills techno to its purest form: hypnotic, percussive, and propulsive. Across four tracks and in line with the label’s essence, MP03 thrives on movement—low-end mastery meets tightly coiled grooves, while textural elements shift and evolve with subtle precision. 

A1 ‘Relax’ sets the foundation with a mighty sub-base, rolling forward with effortless force. Chopped-up claps ricochet through the mix, while a funky, disembodied vocal repeats a single command: “relax”. Then comes ‘Chomp Chomp’, a denser offering in Wise’s sensorial arsenal. Layered with gritty textures, his signature percussion builds a soundscape that is both tactile and weightless, evoking a kinetic dream state where groove and space are in constant conversation. On the flip, ‘Cave’ plunges into murkier terrain. Swathed in fog and sinister atmospherics, it unfolds through an eerie blend of sci-fi surrealism and grounded physicality. Bleeps hover like distant signals, their sharpness softened by a cavernous, smothering embrace. It’s a study in tension—hypnotic and unsettling in equal measure. Closing the release is ‘Deep Under’, a track that embodies its name with subterranean mystique. The soundscape is rich with detail, an ecosystem of sonic fragments shifting beneath the surface. It’s immersive yet elusive, like catching glimpses of something just out of reach—a mirage that flickers between the tangible and the ethereal. 

This is minimalism with intent, built for deep immersion. Less, here, is infinitely more.

Japanese techno titan, Ken Ishii, is back on Tronic with another 3-track EP. He delivered three different originals ranging from hands-in-the-air to hardgroove to Detroit-inspired chord-driven techno. We also recruited Turkish techno heavyweight Procombo for remix duties. He delivered a hypnotic and driving remix of 'Giant Killer'. Great package!

Turkey’s Procombo debuts on CLR with the ‘Upscale’ EP

Istanbul’s Procombo arrives on Chris Liebing’s CLR for the first time, dropping the two-track ‘Upscale’ EP 18th July 2025. The title track sees the RX boss deploy a nimble and precise cut that, despite its heavyweight low-end punch, glides smoothly over evolving synth loops. It’s muscular, meticulous, and perfectly engineered intensity.

'Be Alive' is a rolling juggernaut of a track built for shadowy warehouses and heads-down moments. Dystopian sirens wail through the mix like warning signals amidst flickering neon ruins. There’s a constant sense of unease, a creeping tension that builds and builds brilliantly, closing out a package already supported by the likes of Peder Mannerfeldt, Emerald, and Elisa Bee.

Procombo has been a pillar of his native Istanbul scene since the mid-90s, as a DJ, producer, and label head of RX Recordings, an offshoot of the influential former RX Istanbul club he helmed. He's well known in heady Techno circles for his work on Radio Slave’s Rekids label, Planet Rhythm, and now Chris Liebing's legendary CLR.

Founded by Techno pioneer Chris Liebing in 1999 and relaunched in 2021 after a five-year break, CLR has featured heavyweights like Shlomi Aber, Dubfire, Flug, and Bjarki, while championing rising talents including Risa Taniguchi and Klint.

Marco Bailey whips up a one-tracker for his own MB Elektronics, raising the Techno bar once again.

Building carefully from the get-go, "Greedy Convention" is dipped in atmospherics with its spoken-word vocal, ghostly effects and pulsing subs.

A mutating synth riff creeps into the track, while hectic rises make their appearance and add more tension to the ride. Ultimately, we are dealing with a jacking Techno powerhouse as a testament to Marco Bailey's seasoned skills.

Marco Bailey is somewhat considered an icon when it comes to techno and the dance music industry as a whole. It starts with a beat, and for Marco that as in the late 80’s. In 2014 he celebrated 25 years of Marco Bailey, a true achievement for someone who is an ambassador for the scene as well as an amazing DJ and producer. 

He grew up in Belgium, and it all started out when he went to a small local club in his nearby city. At this point, he knew little and didn't have any musical heroes, but soon released that he would rather be behind the decks than on the dance floor. 

His break came in 2000 with his first EP on Carl Cox’s Intec imprint with “Play It Back”. Over the next couple of years he worked on his own imprint, launching MB Elektronics, with the first release in 2002 with “Caprioska”. The releases came flowing over the next few years, which saw the release of his critically acclaimed “Rube Boy” album back in 2004, soon followed by “Dragon Man” LP on John Digweed’s Bedrock in 2011.

His most recent album was with 12 track “High Volume” released back in 2013 on MB Elektronics, dubbed by some techno aficionados as a masterpiece. It was at this time, he also released an up close and personal documentary “Marco Bailey”.

His Electronic Force radio show has been a huge success from the get-go, with almost 300 episodes to date, he has had every artist on board from Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, Umek, Joseph Capriati, Sam Paganini and Carlo Lio. It’s heard by millions of listeners in more than 50 countries.

Marco has been touring relentlessly throughout his career, he’s an artist who can say he has probably played at almost every club in the world, and been listed at the top of major festivals. He hasn't stopped, and this summer was no exception his MATERIA brand taking a new home at Vista Club, Ibiza. Every Sunday, he offered artists including Sam Paganini, Carlo Lio, Julian Jewell, and Paul Ritch for the closing on the 28th August all came out to party with Marco and the crowd.

You can expect to see the MATERIA brand reach far and wide this year, with parties in London, Vienna, Amsterdam and Tokyo planned this winter. Mid October will see the release of the MATERIA compilation mix, a collection of tracks selected personally by Marco, of both his own releases and all the artists which played at MATERIA in Ibiza this summer. 

2017 continues to be another landmark year for Marco, with his first MATERIA residency considered a huge success, the brand looks to move worldwide, becoming a high-profile label and radio show as well and continuing to grow. He is a true pioneer of Techno, and has no plans to put on the brakes anytime soon.
