La serie Unknown Landscapes que estrenó Óscar Mulero en 2013 alcanza su sexto volumen de la mano de uno de los artistas afiliados al sello asturiano PoleGroup: el portugués Lewis Fautzi.
Como viene siendo habitual, el mix está compuesto por un montón de temas inéditos, en este caso son 22 de artistas, tanto de sus dueños (Óscar Mulero, Exium y Reeko) como de otros artistas afiliados como Kwartz, P.E.A.R.L., Refracted o Kike Pravda y otros afines al mismo como pueden ser Svreca , Adriana López o Bas Mooy , entre otros. Our new digital release comes from from portuguese producer Nørbak, an expert in dense textured techno often played by the deeper selectors out there. He offers no less than seven cuts for this extended EP.

Yute is the firestarter, micro Fm bells, compact drum workout, heavy subbass action and an expert arrangement. Nunca follows, slowing down the pace, low filtered drones and white noise and subtle hypnotic sequences. Jutero add extra groove with analog congas and flanged textures spiced with atmospheres and micro percussions. In Faktor we find similar elements, opaque feelings, filtered components, dynamic structure all without parafernalia.

Jutf goes back to prime time action, with a funked up groove, spaced out pads and continuous sequencing. Gyer is scifi techno at its best, pulsating synth lines run along bleeps and heavy reverberated landscapes. Biry closes the release with opaque drum sounds, and panned alien details in various layers that mutate and run all over the arrangement.

A serious exercise of scientifically cradted techno, attemporal, out of tendences and personal.

DEAD CERT. Records is a label linked to the well known website deathtechno.com ran by Jack! Who? in the UK. A diverse palette has seen the previous releases feature music from artists including Audio Injection / Truncate, Paul Mac, TWR72, Echoplex and Petter B, to name but a few.

Uruguay-based William Arist returns to DEAD CERT. following his fierce vinyl only contribution "Cyanophyta" that has gathered pace as an essential DJ weapon. Having released on labels like Animal Farm, Vinicius Honorio's Liberta, Deano (ZA)'s Knowledge Imprint, his very own Perseverancia and soon Marco Faraone's UNCAGE, he also lists support by the likes of Ben Sims, Charlotte de Witte and Tensal.

He has delved into his vast production archive especially for DEAD CERT. and alongside three original works is a remix from Fossil Archive aka Roberto.

Fossil Archive also goes by the name Roberto to many and has a back catalogue including Radio Slave's Rekids, Mike Dehnert’s Fachwerk, Emmanuel’s ARTS, On Edge Society and collaborations with the late Trevino and Roman Lindau for example, his huge, consistent and educated sound is much loved.

"Drastic" kicks things off with a raw, angular jam, wrapped in analogue grit and infectious electronic funk that tears forward with a jovial heart at its core.

Second up is "Desire" that opts for a different approach. The rolling bottom end, pulsing phasers and deep chords add a warm sensitivity to its otherwise energetic framework.

Fossil Archive aka Roberto goes full throttle with his rework, jackin' at its best with both feet on the dance floor and a style that will defy anyone not to succumb to its monumental influence.

Showing his production skills in full effect, "Dystopia" is a lesson in abstract grooves and rich sound design, for those who like leftfield techno dripping in character and creativity.

Dehumanize EP

Premiere: PWCCA "Dehumanize" (Sarf Remix) - Analog Section

Marco Bailey is somewhat considered an icon when it comes to techno and the dance music industry as a whole. It starts with a beat, and for Marco that as in the late 80’s. In 2014 he celebrated 25 years of Marco Bailey, a true achievement for someone who is an ambassador for the scene as well as an amazing DJ and producer. 

He grew up in Belgium, and it all started out when he went to a small local club in his nearby city. At this point, he knew little and didn't have any musical heroes, but soon released that he would rather be behind the decks than on the dance floor. 

His break came in 2000 with his first EP on Carl Cox’s Intec imprint with “Play It Back”. Over the next couple of years he worked on his own imprint, launching MB Elektronics, with the first release in 2002 with “Caprioska”. The releases came flowing over the next few years, which saw the release of his critically acclaimed “Rube Boy” album back in 2004, soon followed by “Dragon Man” LP on John Digweed’s Bedrock in 2011.

His most recent album was with 12 track “High Volume” released back in 2013 on MB Elektronics, dubbed by some techno aficionados as a masterpiece. It was at this time, he also released an up close and personal documentary “Marco Bailey”.

His Electronic Force radio show has been a huge success from the get-go, with almost 300 episodes to date, he has had every artist on board from Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, Umek, Joseph Capriati, Sam Paganini and Carlo Lio. It’s heard by millions of listeners in more than 50 countries.

Marco has been touring relentlessly throughout his career, he’s an artist who can say he has probably played at almost every club in the world, and been listed at the top of major festivals. He hasn't stopped, and this summer was no exception his MATERIA brand taking a new home at Vista Club, Ibiza. Every Sunday, he offered artists including Sam Paganini, Carlo Lio, Julian Jewell, and Paul Ritch for the closing on the 28th August all came out to party with Marco and the crowd.

You can expect to see the MATERIA brand reach far and wide this year, with parties in London, Vienna, Amsterdam and Tokyo planned this winter. Mid October will see the release of the MATERIA compilation mix, a collection of tracks selected personally by Marco, of both his own releases and all the artists which played at MATERIA in Ibiza this summer. 

2017 continues to be another landmark year for Marco, with his first MATERIA residency considered a huge success, the brand looks to move worldwide, becoming a high-profile label and radio show as well and continuing to grow. He is a true pioneer of Techno, and has no plans to put on the brakes anytime soon.
