This is whats happening in my life right now.  I’m 51 years old and I have some serious, as yet undiagnosed, auto-immune disease.  I get clusters of headaches, keep going blind, my balance is shot, and I’m losing my physical strength.  Truth is it feels like I am dying.  Now I have 3 children and I love them all, no I am not a perfect parent, I have never claimed to be that. I lost years siting at a PC when I could have been building a closer bond with my 2 girls, and it cost me the relationship with the woman I loved.

The girls are grown up now, but my boy, Brandon, is the only reason I am alive today.  My life has been just “too hard” and I found myself on the edge (once again) this January!  The ONLY reason I didn’t throw in the towel, was because, I couldn’t bear to contemplate Brandon’s grief.  You see he is my best friend and I am his.  We hang out together on Friday and Saturday, play music, play cards and watch flicks (even drink some beer).  So we are close as you can be as father and son.

I am usually sitting at the PC working on my plan with my brain on fire in contemplation.  But today I was sat in a hospital waiting room, and suddenly I confronted my own mortality “face to face”!  I already knew I was ill and probably dying, but it never bothered me before because I knew that I was just a “piece of fruit on the species DNA vine”.

But today, sitting there, I suddenly realised that, Brandon won’t have his beloved father around to see him become a man.  The realisation was overwhelming emotionally. My brain raged with sorrow for Brandon’s future loss, and I found it impossible to maintain full composure.  I was silently, but obviously, crying to myself. 

But suddenly, I evolved!

The knowledge that the “DNA” is the real being, and people are its tools, its habitats, its vehicles, I have always known, but this is the first moment I actually lived it!  Being “fruit on the vine” or the “leaves on the tree” meant that neither me or Brandon, although we ARE “real”, we are not of ultimate importance. It is the “DNA vine itself” which is the really “real” being!  We are it’s “tools”, and, it is entitled to use it’s tools to achieve it’s goals!  (And it really has used me). Each of us, are just a shuffle of its code, and in our lives it expects us to pursue “it’s interests”.

At that moment, I conquered all my fears!  You see, I am far from perfect!  I have known that orbital space was the solution to the problems of mankind since I was 25.  But I have been a gypsy, a thief and a fighter.  How could I stand up in public and try to lead the world, in an era of rising social media!  I knew it would destroy me.  But now I am on the way out, this is my final push!

DNA coded us to see what it couldn’t see.  Every few million years, some powerful enemy of DNA would destroy 99.9% of its created vehicles, it’s world’s.  
Trying to survive, it crawled out of the oceans and tested a new medium.  Boom!  Another mass global extinction?  It made huge creatures, powerful, fast and ferocious!  Boom!  Another mass extinction.  It took to the sky and still, something unknown was ruining it’s destroy it’s paradise!  The only choice it had left was to create a new type of vehicle, and give it the tools, and the intelligence to identify, and “overcome”, this unknowable enemy.  But in order for the new vehicle to succeed in it’s mission, it had to be given “complete freedom and genius”.  DNA would have to “SET IT FREE”!

And here “we” are, and “we” have successfully achieved our mission.  We “know”, with total certainty, that sometime in the future, an asteroid is going to smash into our planet and kill us all.  But what have we done with this knowledge?  Financiers have used this information to invest in the creation of blockbuster flicks so that they can reap the riches, form having the audience entranced by the horror that this, “event”, is inevitable. To me, this is not intelligent (out of space)
