MIIDNIIT - NOTHING IS REAL

MIND THIEF is my first self-released EP as Hycastle. I started working on these tracks back in 2022 while I was still deep in addiction, coping with complex grief and trauma. Now, I’m finishing it clean and empowered.

This isn’t a pretty EP. It’s sharp, chaotic, and intense. It's a reflection of the battles I fought with myself and the darkness I nearly lost my mind to.

Most of it was originally made under the influence, and it's been a huge pain in the ass to make these tracks even remotely listenable. Still, these tracks gave me power in some of my lowest points and kept pulling me back to finish and release them any way I could.

Working on this taught me the power of letting music be raw and imperfect. Chasing some “perfect” standard isn’t the point. Music is power, and power is meant to be shared.
