There's a closeness and intimacy that invites you to forget where you are sitting, like reading your favourite novel for the first time, while suggesting an expansiveness that anything is possible.

Unspool, a collaborative project between Mexico-based composer/pianist Marco Neri and BC-based engineer-producer Peter Mynett, was formed after the two were brought together to
fill a creative void left in their lives when the whole world shut down. They endeavour to create music that is both deep & engaging, while providing an ethereal soundtrack to the tasks of the day. The music is process driven, where ideas are prompts and limitations are keystones. You may not know whether to sharpen your pencil and blow away the lead dust, or open an umpteenth browser window and dive one layer deeper down the rabbit hole.

This work premiered on December 8, 2020, in the Second Week of Concerts Day 2 | II ° Contemporary Expressions Festival (FEC Puebla, México).
