I recorded this Black Redstart early on Easter Sunday morning, as well as a Black Bird there´s also a nice Tawny Owl singing along too. I used a Schoeps Parabolic Microphone System.

Recorded in May 2025. A SASS recording of marsh frogs. I asked an owner who had some houses to rent right next to this pond if I could place the mic on their property to record these frogs for the night. They kindly said yes, there was also a lot of signs of beaver activity around.
I searched the whole area in an attempt to get close to the frogs and really this was the best spot. 
It was a busy road and constantly noisy during the day, but overnight luckily fell silent. 
There was a lot of bird species around including Orioles and Wrynecks during the day. I really enjoy finding little oasis of nature sound like this in busy locations.

I ran a simple noise test with the onboard microphones on the ZOOM H1e and ZOOM M4.
First half track with level as recorded, first H1 and then M4; second half track levels NORMALIZED up to 0.1 dB, first H1 and then M4.
