Description: I performed a Mid-Side test by inserting a Primo EM283 figure-eight microphone and a Primo EM 172 omnidirectional microphone into a 53 cm diameter parabolic dish. This is in order to obtain a balanced Mid-Side stereo configuration in the dish. Its a marsh warbler in the foreground and in focus of your recording, while the nightingale is in the background.

It sounds pretty good!  I didn't realize primo made a figure 8 mic until I found this, thx for posting the track and writeup.

4 Roe Deer, with one of them barking. I watched the Roe Deer watch me for a bit, and then they carried on their way into the forest. Recorded around 5:55am with parabolic reflector.

A pristine night ambience over a remote forest lake with many beatiful birds: Eurasian Bittern, Fieldfare, Black-throated Diver, Black Grouse and many others, Beavers flapping their tails and moaning, and a big fat bassy propeller airplane passing by. Although we all hate airplanes that ruin our recordings, I find this particular case merely beautiful.  ORTF, so sounds nice both on speakers and headphones.

I recorded this Black Redstart early on Easter Sunday morning, as well as a Black Bird there´s also a nice Tawny Owl singing along too. I used a Schoeps Parabolic Microphone System.
