هل أطرُقُ بَابَكَ بَعدَ ضَياع الكُلِّ ، أَوَ يَصْلُحُ أن أقتَرب إليكَ بذلِّي.
ضَيَّعتُ أنا فرحتي منّي بجهلي، قد كنتَ حبيبي وخِلِّي، أنت بل أهلي.
وتركتك لكنّي أعودُ فترحَمني، ولا بيديّ إلاّ الوعدُ ليستُرَني.
والقلبُ بأحشائي يناديكَ أَجبرني، أشتاقُ لحضنِ الآب وعطفُه يقبلُني.
جمّلني فقبحي قد ذهب حتى الأحشاء، وسواد الليل تسرّب فيّ انتشر الداء
أشتاق لخالقٍ من عدمٍ يدعو الأشياء، فيغيّر قلبي ويلبسني حللًا بيضاء

Translation:
Do I knock on your door after all is lost?
Or is it fitting for me to come closer to you in my humiliation 
I lost my happiness by my ignorance
You have been my love, my comforter and my family
And I left you, but I will return to grant me mercy
And nothing but your promise that will shield me
And the heart’s core is calling you to encourage me
I yearn for my Father’s embrace and His affectionate kiss
Make me beautiful, for my ugliness has spread everywhere 
And the darkness of the night spread like a disease
I long for the Creator who created everything from nothing
He changes my heart and clothes me with white garments
