An infectious groove is one of the most important elements to everything I purchase and play. Closed eyes, a swaying motion in the hips, a looseness of the shoulders, and a polyrhythmic shuffle to the feet - these are the signs that the audience has checked themselves out of the present and gone to nirvana. It would be a lie to say that I don’t gravitate towards the trance elements, the shuffling drums, and the structured basslines - 20yrs of my recordings that have been floating around the internet would prove that to be a paramount character of everything I present to the audience. So with this mix, I wanted to encapsulate all the wiggling and swerving that I encourage my crowd to have with this upbeat, tripping, energetic mix of vibes I’ve amassed over time. Time to get twisty with episode six of “The Arsonist & The Architect,” appropriately titled “Chicane.”

Hailing all the way from the central mountains of Colombia, Lopar ( @lopar_music ) brings deep and luscious sounds from the city of Manizales. A talented DJ in many genres, he navigates a range of styles and moods from ambient, dub and minimal to  deep & hypnotic techno & dnb. 

He began his career as a professional DJ in 2015 at Academia Decibel (Intelligent Division) in Medellin, Colombia and now is involved in local efforts as part of the "Natural" collective in Manziales to bring like-minded sounds and artists to the city, playing alongside talents like Anthony Linell & Polygonia.

Bajo el proyecto de Zdrojieros desde 2019, Sebastián nos lleva en un viaje a través de paisajes sonoros experimentales, percusivos y tribales, moldeando un estilo distintivo que captura la esencia de su ciudad natal, Armenia, Quindío. Logrando además, participar en el primer V/A de Qeone con su track "Maguarè".
Como uno de los cuatro pilares del colectivo Bajo Constructo, Sebastián nos invita a un paseo lleno de hipnotismo y creatividad hacia mundos inexplorados.

In our next installment of Autoscopy, we delve into the sonic world of Sebastián Rubio, an artist with over a decade of experience in the local music scene. Under the Zdrojieros project since 2019, Sebastián takes us on a journey through experimental, percussive, and tribal soundscapes, shaping a distinctive style that captures the essence of his hometown, Armenia, Quindío. Additionally, he has managed to participate in the first V/A of Qeone with his track "Maguarè".
As one of the four pillars of the Bajo Constructo collective, Sebastián invites us on a hypnotic and creative ride to unexplored worlds.

With a background spanning DJing, event promotion, international publicity, and label management, she quietly solidifies her position as a respected figure in the realm of dance music. AOIFE's DJ sets are a testament to her uncompromising style, skilfully curating raw, dark, driving, and hypnotic elements; her versatility extends to a love for techno, breaks, electro, EBM, and house inspired by luminaries such as Jeff Mills, Dasha Rush & Blawan. From her beginnings & notable appearances on platforms like Rinse FM and HOR, AOIFE has consistently evolved. She has played at renowned institutions such as Tresor, Berlin, Khidi Club, Tbilisi, Amsterdam Dance Event and, Fold in London, while also securing a residency with Berlin’s Disconnekt. Aside from DJing, AOIFE has been focusing her purpose on production with forthcoming releases on the horizon. A sound that is a slow-burning odyssey through the depths of techno, infused with tantalising breaks and ethereal melodies, AOIFE's music is one of subtle power and undeniable cool.

Marco Zenker (Ilian Tape / Munich)

Marco was born in Munich in 1988. As a teenager he came true with skateboarding, listening to Roots Reggae, Dub and underground Hip Hop. At the age of 17 he started to make music and since then developed a never ending fascination for sound.

His brother Dario founded the record label Ilian Tape in 2007. One year later Marco joined the label and since then the brothers run it together. On new years eve 2008 he had his first club gig and many years of playing live followed. Nowadays he mainly tours together with Dario as Zenker Brothers.

Over the years the brothers consequently followed their vision. With their record label Ilian Tape, producing music, djing and playing live.

Expect the unexpected.
