Hailing all the way from the central mountains of Colombia, Lopar ( @lopar_music ) brings deep and luscious sounds from the city of Manizales. A talented DJ in many genres, he navigates a range of styles and moods from ambient, dub and minimal to  deep & hypnotic techno & dnb. 

He began his career as a professional DJ in 2015 at Academia Decibel (Intelligent Division) in Medellin, Colombia and now is involved in local efforts as part of the "Natural" collective in Manziales to bring like-minded sounds and artists to the city, playing alongside talents like Anthony Linell & Polygonia.

AOIFE's DJ sets are a testament to her uncompromising style, skilfully curating raw, dark, driving, and hypnotic elements; her versatility extends to a love for techno, breaks, electro, EBM, and house inspired by luminaries such as Jeff Mills, Dasha Rush & Blawan. From her beginnings & notable appearances on platforms like Rinse FM and HOR, AOIFE has consistently evolved. She has played at renowned institutions such as Tresor, Berlin, Khidi Club, Tbilisi, Amsterdam Dance Event and, Fold in London, while also securing a residency with Berlin’s Disconnekt. Aside from DJing, AOIFE has been focusing her purpose on production with forthcoming releases on the horizon. Friends and colleagues Hyperaktivist and Yazzus share one important value: putting marginalised folks to the front. The Venezuelan and Ghana-via-London artists, respectively, met in Berlin not long after Yazzus went to the Berlin-based Mala Junta party, a collective co-founded by Hyperaktivist, DJ Tool and door selector Nyaam Hassany. Yazzus was asked to be a party resident and has collaborated with the crew extensively, playing their shows and helping curate lineups ever since. 

In this <i>RA</i> Exchange with Berlin DJ and journalist Juba, the two talk about their shared passion for better representation on party lineups and what authentic diversity means in a climate that often privileges checking boxes and meeting quotas. They also talk about their solo endeavours, their trajectories into dance music and their shared passion for nurturing the growth of homegrown parties and scenes. Amid Berlin's rising prices (and competition), they reflect that the ideals of collaboration and connection remain stronger than ever before. Listen to the conversation in full.

This is a special mix by REGIS recorded at Kuboraum during the fourth episode of our "Atonal Off" event series.

It was our honor to host & share this event last August 2018 with a special crowd that came to celebrate this unique moment for the underground music scene: the 25th year of the legendary Downwards Records.

The well visited off jam session was a very notable and intimate birthday celebration and this set is delivering the exact atmosphere and vibe that was experienced during this evening.

Downwards is a record label founded in Birmingham, England in 1993 by Regis and Female, it has a fundamental and influential impact on the electronic music and techno panorama we know today since its beginning. 

Thanks to Regis, Layne, Jim Ningus and Justin Anastasi for their incredible music and the beautiful vibe they created.

Marco Zenker (Ilian Tape / Munich)

Marco was born in Munich in 1988. As a teenager he came true with skateboarding, listening to Roots Reggae, Dub and underground Hip Hop. At the age of 17 he started to make music and since then developed a never ending fascination for sound.

His brother Dario founded the record label Ilian Tape in 2007. One year later Marco joined the label and since then the brothers run it together. On new years eve 2008 he had his first club gig and many years of playing live followed. Nowadays he mainly tours together with Dario as Zenker Brothers.

Over the years the brothers consequently followed their vision. With their record label Ilian Tape, producing music, djing and playing live.

Expect the unexpected.
