**Free Download** of  'Last Port of Call', a soundscape created for Shakespeare's Chair - A Collaborative theatre piece i worked on with John Nankin. The hour long show was performed at ZINK, a small theatre built by Nankin at ERF 81 (Commonly known as "The Farm" used in the 1800's by the British as an ammunition magazine) in Cape Town as part of the GIPCA Live Arts Festival , 2014. 

The soundscape runs throughout the duration of the show (altered slightly each night we performed - using Ableton) and is made up primarily of field recordings and found sounds processed with an array of effects and time-stretch algorithms, along with some synth and sampled and processed strings(Cello, Double Bass, Electric Guitar).

I made it with the intention of giving one the spooky feel of imaginary abandoned train stations, harbours and ship-locks at night.

Sound sources include seagulls, ship-rope, harbours, ship-locks, train stations, busy streets, steam, distant city hum, gardens at night, scrap metal being thrown around, wooden floors, squeaky old shoes and an array of other weird and wonderful things.

A short, 6 minute mini collage of sound and song i did for fashion designer Keith Henning and his fashion label / shop, Adriaan Kuiters' runway show at The Design Indaba this year.

Lots of dark piano, glitches, orchestral swells, random vocal snippets and my edit of Caribou's 'Sun' at the end.

I wrote this track in 2008 for my friend, musician Markus Wormstorm (https://soundcloud.com/markus-wormstorm) who's love and talent for sci-fi, writing, poetry and music has been a huge influence on me over the years.  Atonal bells and drones over a filtered, wet, skittish wooden beat. Ship sinks at the end. Enjoy.

2007 piece in 3 parts (again) made entirely out of sounds recorded in a very dark studio at Krieks house. They include contact mics rubbed on my jeans, old reel to reels being disassembled, a walkman being opened and closed, weird processed FM bell sounds from a Virus B, sampled time stretched bass guitar hits, friends ghostly voices and sine synth jams on a Roland SH-32.

Rosa (Trois Ombres Pour)

Destructive little number that breaks down and implodes upon itself. Delay sampled guitar hits*, sine melodies and quick distorted drum noise. Cool melody at the end..

*Contains various samples from guitar hero Sebastian Meissner (Klimek)'s 'Milk & Honey'. (I have no money, to sue would be futile) - Ps this is a Tribute of sorts.

Was also used on a #FOMO CD for their regular Thursday night party

A little folktronica / hip-hop number i wrote in 2005 (I think). I played all the guitar, and my friend @ksOng* sings at the end. Happy summer music for winter.

Indie number i made back in 2007. Ya...sometimes i rock out too... 
Nice rhythmic crackles, hazed lonely guitar samples, real drums, Vincent Gallo singing like a woman (Hehe) and sawtooth synth lines. I play most of the instruments, although some of them are sampled.

Only Sad

POP is a collection of 5 simple, emotive, whimsical idm/electronica tracks that i wrote during 2004/2005 (high school). I thought that these tracks were gone and lost when my hard drive crashed some time ago, but my good friend Alex (@Brainwarmth) saved them and kept them for 6 years.

All made in my blue bedroom at my parents house at the age of 17/18 with very basic software (Fruity Loops, Cubase SX, some very dated VST's) and an old Roland PC-200 mkII.

You may well note that i was obsessed with, listening to and influenced by lots of IDM of the that was around during those years.
