One of the best bands I have played in and probably the only serious attempt to a musical career. Personelle included ex members of historic Italian bands such as Ups!, Punk al Muro and Transex. Each of us had a different rock background, from punk, to goth, to hard blues and indie. Very powerful live, we played Italy and UK, recorded a videoclip that was aired on MTV.

A short instrumental bluesy little number I recorded in Rome in 2002. I overlapped three guitars on this recording, the main acoustic track, the same part with an added tremolo and a quick and easy slide part, loaded with echo.

Smith & Wesson was one of the many projects with my mate and bass player-multi instrumentalist Loris Salvucci. S&W was a heavy blues combo with clear space/stoner influences. Lyrics proudly in Italian.

Sport is another project coming from the Ascoli-Vallata del Tronto-Offida scene revolving around the legendary Quinty's and Blue Bird pubs. Visionary sounds of blues, psychedelic, hard rock, fuelled by liters of vino cotto and recorded in the middle of nowhere in the summer countryside. It sounds so natural.

While playing in Giften Libra I started being bolder and experimenting with noises and effects. The sound is heavily influenced by the 80's new wave Italian scene, in particular early Litfiba and Diaframma. We rehearsed in a room adjacent to a pig sty. The smell has also influenced the sound.

My first band. Teenagers playing grunge originals in Italian. Pretty cool - actually bloody awesome, considering that at the time everyone else in town was trying to sound like Nirvana by playing mostly covers and few originals in some kind of English.

Phase I: NOISES 1996-2009

This is a selection of the stuff I have recorded with different people in different places from 1996 to 2009 (noises from my most recent project, 2009 to-date, are not included: if interested, visit the High Rise Experiment page here in Soundcloud). 

A brief background: I started playing electric guitar in 1995, when I was 14 and I still do it. I've played many genres and, being self taught, I have learnt something from every new record I listened to and every musician I've played with. I have had great times and I still am.
