“I’ve been a big fan of Groove Armada since the beginning, so it’s a huge honour to have them on my label for the first time plus being able to remix Superstylin” Riva Starr

This essential three-track offering follows the world-renowned Grammy-and-Brit-Award-nominated duo’s ‘Little Black Book’ album release on Moda Black last year plus their more recent ‘FabricLive87’ mix compilation.    

The EP’s title track ‘House With Me’ commences the release, taking the listener on a funk-driven dirty House groove full of sassy Saxophone riffs, crunchy bit-reduced drum samples and a recurring spoken word vocal stating “Eastside Boom, Westside Boom, Northside Boom, Southside Boom” from Chicago’s Ghetto House legend Parris Mitchell. 
 
Next up is ‘U Can’, which takes us on more of a late 80s/early 90s Balearic House vibe, encompassing a distinctive soulful male vocal, warm pad sounds and rock-solid drum programming reminiscent of tracks like Joe Smooth’s House classic ‘Promised Land’ and Raze’s ‘Break For Love’. 

Last but not least, Snatch’s label boss Riva Starr step up to deliver and tasty-and-cheeky edit of one of Groove Armada’s most successful tracks to date, ‘Superstylin’. Riva’s fresh-sounding rework features most of the original’s main ingredients but tweaked and manipulated to fit around a stomping new House groove.

“Lie Down In Darkness” has been described as an “achingly soulful track of sublime melancholy and symphonic grandeur”. If you want to know how this will sound, remixed by one of techno´s most sought-after producers of our time, we suggest you to get one of the 1000 vinyl copies of this release. Romanian locals and Vatos Locos affiliates Floog & Mahony join forces for their 'Boem' EP as the tenth release on VL Recordings. Among the batch of driving dancefloor material is The Martinez Brothers' remix of 'Nu Mai', which showcases the duos signature bumping house style. 

Having previewed on their Fabric Mix in September, the scene has been anxiously anticipating The Martinez Brothers remix. It's undoubtedly a dacnefloor bomb, complete with cosmic textures, infectious melodies and a driving rhythm. It's a brilliant compliment to Floog & Mahony's standout EP that is sure to ring well throughout clubland. 

The 'Boem' EP is set for release November 29.

Marco Carola is a global ambassador of techno. From Napoli in the south of Italy, Marco was instrumental in the development of the electronic scene in the early 90s, he took the flourishing techno Napolitano scene to the rest of the world. Over twenty years later and Marco is still one of the most respected artists amongst the techno scene, widely regarded as one of the key factors in driving the genre towards worldwide recognition within electronic music.
 
As a revered producer and successful label head, Marco has spearheaded imprints such as Design Music, Zenit, Question, One Thousands and Do.Mi.No whilst releasing music on a selection of the words finest labels such as Minus, Plus 8 2M and Primate Recordings. In addition to five critically acclaimed albums, including his most recent Play It Loud, Marco has also been responsible for a clutch of seminal mix compilations. In 2006, his mix for legendary London club Fabric’s series was a lesson in sleek, future-facing minimalism. That was followed up by well received compilations for Time Warp in 2009. In 2010 Cocoon label boss Sven Väth asked him to mix the Frankfurt based label’s Party Animals CD alongside Nick Curly, which took Carola's dj taste and skills to new heights.
 
Famed for his energetic and impressive three-deck style of mixing and long journey set, Marco has remained one of the most in demand DJs on the planet throughout the last two decades. Favoring mammoth eight hour plus sets, Marco is predisposed to a subtle working of the crowd that has made him a favorite among fans from Ibiza to New York, South America and beyond.
