Bringing the party atmosphere to 2023 Marco Faraone drops his first UNCAGE single of the year titled ‘HEY DJ’ where he brings in the legendary Josh Wink and also Confidential Recipe in on the remix.

After a fantastic end to 2022, which included a sellout first UNCAGE party at Input in Barcelona, aswell as releases on We Are The Brave, Filth on Acid and his authoritative remix of legendary techno artist The Advent on UNCAGE, Faraone has now set his sights on 2023 with full force and a heavy weight release schedule for his ever popular label. He kicks off his 2023 release schedule with ‘HEY DJ’, where he delivers a dance floor weapon in pure Marco Faraone style. Tough raw beats get things moving, with his hypnotic style locking you in as the track progresses. Top this off with an iconic vocal and this is definitely a track that you’ll be hearing a lot more of over the coming months.

Next up is the ‘Josh Wink Party Vibe Interpretation’. Wink is a name that needs no introduction having been at the forefront of the scene for several decades. For his interpretation, he keeps this stripped and slick with a pulsating rhythm and bundles of energy working the sounds of the original into the groove with an effortless style. This is definitely a massive remix for those who like their techno hypnotic. Following on from that we continue with Faraone and Wink’s 6am Mix. This, as the name suggests is one for the late night floors with a powerful fast groove, gut punching industrial kick and will have eyes closing and heads going down and feet moving in full flow on the floor.

To finish off this powerhouse single UNCAGE welcomes Confidential Recipe to the label. Where the Colombian based producer delivers a sublime remix to finish the release. Tight drums, bouncing energy, with some added special ingredients, Confidential Recipe serves up a tasty finale to an excellent release.

Italian DJ/producer Marco Faraone returns to Rekids this August with ‘Any Good Vibe?’

Tuscany-born, Barcelona-based Marco Faraone runs the UNCAGE label and event series, where he showcases the breadth and depth of his tastes. Returning to Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint after multiple appearances on the label, ‘Any Good Vibe?’ sees Faraone bring another potent EP of stylish techno.

Leading the A-side is the title cut, with yelping vocals and flaming percussion all adding to the wild energy of the track. The superb 'Ego Kills' follows, with swinging drums, chord stabs, and dubbed-out stylings that suit it to sweaty back rooms. Rounding out the release is 'Ghana', a heavy techno groove layered up with plenty of percussion, urgent synth sounds, and a vocal that adds unease to the intense atmosphere.

Tomoki Tamura’s essential and refreshing label, Holic Trax collects together new house heat for a third
volume of it irregular Tom Tam Club series. Across both a digital and 2 x 12” vinyl release the compilation
offers plenty of club-ready highlights.
Having released music from producers around the world including Rick Wade, Burnski, Tuccillo and many
more, the label has become a favourite with DJs and dancers alike. Now it turns to a mix of new and more
established names for a collection of eight new cuts that offer something for everyone.
Up first is duo, Rough Principles, made up of established producers Ekkohaus & Moire Patterns of labels
like Moon Harbour. Their ‘Pool Back’ is a rubbery, spritely house track with rolling beats and bass and
thick, late night synths that exude real soul.
Grecian Mr. Statik - a big name in his native country as both a DJ resident and producer on BPitch Control
- then gets a little freaky on his ‘Habitual Nastiness.’ There is plenty of slap funk in his drums and intrigue
in his mysterious melodies. It is then to Moon Harbour mainstay and Italian tech king Marco Faraone for
‘Point,’ which is a stripped back, grainy and lo-fi basement house offering with dubby chords and a real
sense of rawness to it.
UK producer and Needwant associate Ashworth keeps things scintillatingly melodic with his spine
tinglingly eerie and spacious minimal track ‘Copenhagen’ before fellow Englishman Brunbjrn gets all stab
happy with the loose limbed, perfectly DIY sounding and ramshackle house grooves of his effusive
‘M'about Ta’.
Dubinsky, who has released on Foals man Ed Congrave’s Deep Shit label prefers a more mid tempo and
airy vibe. His exquisitely jazzy, sun kissed and playful ‘Viol Groove’ is a perfect piece of feel good house
music at its best, then Leftback label boss Dudley Strangeways does his trademark trippy, minimal house
thing on ‘Brown Leaves’, which is a heady, hypnotic and late night track designed for the small hours.
Finally, Baslow’s ‘Closer’ rounds out this excellently varied compilation with a lush broken beat, classic
vocal sample and some truly romantic emotions.
This compilation goes from sun kissed to sweaty and back again, and proves that label boss Tomoki
Tamura really has his finger on the pulse when it comes to enlisting standout producers from across the
world scene.

Known for pushing hypnotic and textural techno, this release showcases their combined ability to craft deep, atmospheric cuts with relentless energy and precision. 

“The Overtones” blends rolling percussion, pulsating low-end, and layered melodies, creating a hypnotic and driving experience designed for late-night immersion. “Ralaoci” leans into intricate percussion and evolving synth textures, balancing tension and release with a sleek underground edge. 

“Other Expression” carries a warm, groove-driven flow, weaving basslines and subtle melodic layers into a sophisticated club piece. On “Organized Cut”, the duo explores percussive and groove-heavy rhythms, adding crisp textures for refined dance floor energy. 

“Torin” layers atmospheric elements and evolving synth work over rolling percussion, building hypnotic tension throughout. Closing the EP, “Enhances” delivers crisp percussion, airy pads, and understated melodic drive, perfect for immersive late-night moments. 

Tuscany-born and Barcelona-based, Marco Faraone has carved out a reputation as one of techno’s most respected names, with performances at Fabric, Panorama Bar, and DC10 and releases across leading labels such as Drumcode, Rekids, and Defected. His imprint UNCAGE has become a hub for forward-thinking sounds, with releases from Radio Slave, Mark Broom, Donato Dozzy, and new-wave talents like Anfisa Letyago. 

Yoav Nizri, a promising newcomer, made his debut with his Elmot EP on UNCAGE and now takes a bold step forward with this second release alongside Marco. With raw energy and an ear for hypnotic textures, he continues to shape his identity as one of techno’s rising forces. 

With “The Overtones EP,” Marco Faraone & Yoav Nizri deliver a cohesive and hypnotic statement, marking another confident step in both artists’ journeys and a powerful addition to the Uncage catalogue.

With the original release marking Rekids return from hiatus, Radio Slave's The Clone Wars is now revisited with a trio of new interpretations from three distinctive talents on house & techno.

On the A side, Markus Suckut moulds the original into the kind of no-nonsense rolling techno jam that has personified his releases for Mosaic and Figure. The B side enlists two US talents in the shape of Parris Mitchell and DJ Spider, with the former bringing a glitchy take on the jacking Chicago house that Mitchell perfected in his timeless productions for Dance Mania, and the latter shaping the track into crunchy weirdo techno that sits perfectly alongside his output for The Trilogy Tapes and his own NY-based Plan B Recordings.
