Sydney's local Aaron H-Smith is on the reigns of our next release with Requiem EP, a pack with a lot of character bringing 2 originals within it that catch your ears with their ambience vocals, nice groove and crispy sounds. Amongst the EP we also have debuting on the label two amazing remixers: The Italian Atove, a producer that's been going from strength to strength, with a very uplifting version of Requiem with a rolling bass line and rich percussion elements that promise to smash dance floors around the globe. Following their 2018 collaboration Jano, producers Joe Red & Paul Darey reunite for their slamming debut Retrospective EP on Solardo’s Sola label who have been championing the rising talent.

A two-track weapon, Retrospective EP kicks off with haunting synth lines that proceed into a weighty breakdown spanning the realms of tech house, acid house and techno. Meanwhile, Can You Play To My Beat leans into more uplifting territories boasting grumbling vocals that weave amongst vivacious throttles and soaring lasers. 

Hailing from Mallorca, Joe Red has garnered support world wide whilst shaking the dance floors of renowned venues including Sankeys Ibiza, BCM and many others. His intricate originals have also seen him release on the likes of Toolroom, Defected and others as well as receiving continued DJ backing from heavyweights, Marco Carola, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Green Velvet among others.  With an array of releases that have landed in the Beatport Top 10, the Retrospective EP is sure to a hold similar fate. 

Elsewhere, Paul Darey has cemented himself on the scene since his breakthrough with Roger Sánchez at the Release Yourself pre-party at Café Mambo. Since his rise, Paul has graced labels including Cr2, Defected, Deeperfect and many more with this Sola release marking his first impressive release of 2019.

Joe Red - Can You Play To My Beat

Ellum Audio mainstay Raxon is back with two more of his cosmic techno wonders.

Raxon hails from Egypt, is Barcelona based and has risen through the ranks with a well crafted and emotive techno sound on labels like Diynamic, Kompakt, Cocoon and more. Last summer he played huge parties like Resistance Ibiza at Privilege as well as festivals like DGTL. Though he has made big moves in recent years, Raxon has been deeply involved in the scene for more than two decades.

Characterful opener 'Loop Machine' is a dark and playful tune with loopy vocals layered over a rolling drum beat. The pixelated synths spray about the mix and the whole thing is destined to make the club bounce as one.

The excellent 'Love Lapse' has a retro feel with its 80s synth chords and widescreen astral atmospheres. A busy bassline does plenty of work to keep things moving, while turbulent blasts of synths and prickly percussion add vital texture to this late night jam.

These are two more forward-looking and evocative tracks from the ever on-point Raxon.
