In promotion for Coalmine Records ten year anniversary compilation album 'Unearthed', which is set for a May 13th, 2014 release date, the Brooklyn-based boutique label is pleased to present the project's lead single "Get Down," featuring Pharoahe Monch. The track is produced by Australia's Award Winning M-Phazes, co-producer of Eminem's "Bad Guy," as featured on the multi-platinum selling 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2,' and features scratches courtesy of DJ Revolution of The World Famous Wake Up Show. "Get Down" is to be released for Record Store Day, April 19, 2014 as a collector's edition 7" vinyl, with it's release becoming available for digital download the following Tuesday, April 22nd.

The record came together when Pearl Gates was on tour in Europe opening for Masta Ace. Gates and eMC previously worked together on eMC's "The Tonite Show" album on the song "Fly Thoughts". Gates also says ''with "The Ritual" I just wanted to invite the listener into the room to see the progression firsthand, and luckily for me once Ace heard the record he wanted to be apart of it.''

With confidence I can say this is not a mix tape. It will also be available on vinyl LP via Fat Beats for the heads that appreciate physical product, because I still do. I've included songs I recorded with legends such as Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Tragedy Khadafi, Lil Fame and The Artifacts.
