Scenes of joyous self expression in the first-ever Mixmag Lab Kyiv with @alesia-arkusha (Miss Monique) bringing her classic progressive selections.

All proceeds from ticket sales were donated to fund occluders for children with heart defects at the Amosov Institute in Kyiv. In these challenging times, Miss Monique and Mixmag Ukraine remain close to the Ukrainian music community and to those who need support and care.

“That day will stay in my heart and memories forever. My first party in Ukraine since the war began. Three years later. It was emotional, overwhelming, and full of love. I can’t express how grateful I am to everyone who came and shared that evening with us. You, friends, reminded me what home feels like. These 1.5 hours with my Ukrainian family is a moment that meant everything to me. Thank you Mixmag Ukraine for making this happen," she says.

It is Monday the 6th of August 2012 and we welcome back Juan Pablo Pfirter from Argentina, another returning guest on the CLR Podcast. Juan Pablo is considered one of the most influential and internationally acclaimed djs from South America. Numerous of the biggest players in the Techno scene are playing his tracks up and down, he releases on some of the most credible labels in today´s world of electronic music and he is a much in demand dj in South
America and world-wide. Pfirter also just released a remix of MOTOR´s “Hyper Lust” (feat. Billie Ray Martin) on CLR, which came out digitally and on a limited edition picture disc, together with another remix by Monoloc. Recently he re-started his own label MindTrip (formerly MindTrip Music) and has some very interesting releases coming up. You can actually listen to his MOTOR remix and his upcoming MindTrip release, an original production by Pfirter entitled “The Fall Of The Empire Is Imminent” in this exclusive podcast mix. Over the course of the last three plus decades, the German born DJ, musician and composer Marc Romboy has become synonymous with a soulful electronic music sound that has taken him all over the world. As well as releasing on only the most influential labels, from Innervisions to Cocoon and Kompakt to Senso Sounds, he is also the sole mastermind behind the influential Systematic Recordings label and has been since 2004.

Nowadays an album specialist, 2006 saw him release his debut album, the captivating „Gemini" whilst in 2017 Marc released his first listening long player called „Voyage de la planète“, a pure electronica album with classical music influence and later, in summer 2017 the live recording of his collaboration with the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra called „Reconstructing Debussy“, in cooperation with Boiler Room hit the stores.

Despite being a key player for so long, Marc is still as relevant as ever and remains right at the sharp end of electronic music. Proof of that comes in the form of his DJ schedule, which takes him from Fabric to Womb and Berghain to Rex, as well as to not one but three separate Boiler Room shows. All three proved Marc to be a dexterous performer who never relies on obviousness or gimmicks, instead telling truly musical stories that place dancers right at the heart of the action.
