For the latest output on Lost, Max Chapman produces the goods once again, this time joined by upcoming Kieran Andrews for their inauguration collaboration. The Temperature EP is a straight up three-track compact dancefloor package. 

The lead track Temperature is a delightful slice of deep house with lingering bassy washes, jacking drum patterns topped off with a killer female vocal arrangement. The big drop and pressing vocals shine through for this melodic garage style anthem. 

Ten Twenty One is a much darker house vibe. With some deep hooks and synth patters sitting kindly with a tough bassline, completed with a cleverly spaced out furious vocal stab. Last but by no means least The Groove single is a more percussion heavy techy vibe with an unrelenting bassline and a driving vocal sample. 

This EP will go down a treat in the places that like things nice and deep…

One of the fastest rising underground stars of our generation, disco-house sensation Miguel Campbell makes a momentous come back on the Hot Creations imprint with two original tracks from his highly anticipated album with impressive remixes from Shadow Child and MAM.

Now one of the most sought after DJs and producers in the industry, it was Jamie

Jones and Lee Foss who first spotted the Leeds based Miguel Campbell and snapped him up with ‘Baby I Got It,’ which was released on the label in 2011. The release featured the astronomic ‘Something Special’, which became the biggest selling track on Beatport that year, now clocking over 4 million views on Youtube! Since then, Miguel has won a DJ Mag Best of British Award and has been releasing and remixing on other labels such as Wolf + Lamb and Outcross.

First up for this release, title track ‘Rockin’ Beats’ featuring Naroe on vocals is a funk fuelled odyssey , filled with spacey electronic madness and showcasing Campbell’s dexterous use of vocals adding extra dimensions as the vocoder Daft Punk style rapping rolls through the zappy synths and warm beats. Dirtybird favourite Shadow Dancer makes his first appearance on the imprint with his remix of ‘Rockin’ Beats’– bass-led and groovy with shuffling percussions, the track soon progresses into a perfect dose of nu-school house on a garage tip. The melodic keys and bouncing percussions are highly intoxicating and prove why the skillful producer has become a favourite amongst heavyweights including Eats Everything and Claude Von Stroke.

On the flip ‘Not That Kind Of Girl’ featuring Becks Lott on vocals, is reminiscent of the monumental ‘Something Special’, with a warm feminine touch, oozing with heaps of funk and groove and boasting crossover pop appeal. For the remix, Miguel teams up with Matt Hughes under their MAM moniker, taking it deeper and utilizing the grumbling undertones, with less focus on the vocal and more on the music.

If these are anything to go by Miguel’s forthcoming album ‘Back In Flight School’ is going to be a something to relish!!

Dusky - Muriel

Over the course of the last three plus decades, the German born DJ, musician and composer Marc Romboy has become synonymous with a soulful electronic music sound that has taken him all over the world. As well as releasing on only the most influential labels, from Innervisions to Cocoon and Kompakt to Senso Sounds, he is also the sole mastermind behind the influential Systematic Recordings label and has been since 2004.

Nowadays an album specialist, 2006 saw him release his debut album, the captivating „Gemini" whilst in 2017 Marc released his first listening long player called „Voyage de la planète“, a pure electronica album with classical music influence and later, in summer 2017 the live recording of his collaboration with the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra called „Reconstructing Debussy“, in cooperation with Boiler Room hit the stores.

Despite being a key player for so long, Marc is still as relevant as ever and remains right at the sharp end of electronic music. Proof of that comes in the form of his DJ schedule, which takes him from Fabric to Womb and Berghain to Rex, as well as to not one but three separate Boiler Room shows. All three proved Marc to be a dexterous performer who never relies on obviousness or gimmicks, instead telling truly musical stories that place dancers right at the heart of the action.
