The NUNCHI EP takes 5 fairly different cuts and showcases the variable styles the talented producer has to offer, from deep to techy and always having a firm grip on the dancefloor. The collection can be almost considered a small mini album, as the concept of the release is that of old disco albums 'killers - no fillers'

Next month sees I'm Starting to Feel Okay's seventh two-disc instalment of crown jewels from the likes of Fred P, Prins Thomas, Fort Romeau, Oskar Offermann, Aril Brikha & Sebastian Mullaert, Lord of the Isles, DJ Jenifa [aka Gold Panda] and plenty more. The catalogue –handpicked by MM and Endless Flight founder Toshiya Kawasaki – is littered with smatterings of house, techno, jazz, soul, disco, cosmic and beyond – with Frankey & Sandrino's track ranking as one of our highlights from the opus. Reminiscent of an Innervisions joint we heard in our dreams once, the dark, cyclical trance of "Hubble"is a welcome comeback from techno's favourite duo which – in our eyes – is their biggest triumph since "Acamar" with which Dixon closed his blazing BR x Dekmantel set in Barcelona.

Hunter/Game

Balance is the key to Hunter/Game's music. It's part of growing up in Milan - a sophisticated urban centre for film, fashion and art, but whose inhabitants relish the contrast of spending reflective time in the nature that surrounds the city. Having been part of Milan's techno scene since its first days, the duo of Emmanuele Nicosia and Martino Bartola now find themselves equally influenced by the city and by nature - making music that harnesses the urban propulsion of techno within an introspective, thoughtful take on melody.
It started in 2010 with the "Just This" parties. Hunter/Game's own party, held in secret locations round the city, Just This has made Milan a compulsory stop for the touring electronic artist - from early shows that focused on local acts like Mind Against and Tale Of Us, growing to far bigger events with names like Dixon, Seth Troxler, Koze, Tennis and other DJs in Hunter/Game's worldwide scene. And alongside the parties, the duo have released on Innervisions, Rumours, Last Night on Earth, My Favourite Robot, Hot Creations and Dynamic - with a Kompakt release in early 2015 - and each EP has earned more fans for their lush, deep-grooved analogue soundscapes.
In 2015, alongside a heavy Europe and North American touring schedule, Hunter/Game will open the doors of the new Just This vinyl label. Distributed by Kompakt, the label opens with the leftfield electronic dance stylings of Danish-Icelandic band Primal, a Hunter/Game release, and another to come within five months. With a stylistic approach that leans toward Hunter/Game's own, Just This releases are aimed at the discerning dancefloor, but are as influenced by the wild ambition of 80s electronic acts as by contemporary analogue production techniques.
But even with this worldwide success, Milan is still the base. Having painstakingly helped grow the local scene, Hunter/Game see themselves as responsible for keeping the energy of Just This going. As other DJs have moved away - and despite Hunter/Game's regular slots at key international clubs like Fabric, The Edge, Warung, Output, Wilde Renate and Studio 80 - the duo see that combination of urban and country, and sophistication and lucidity, as critical to their inspiration and their future experiments with sound...

This is the b-side to Obscurité on Noir Music.
It was originally meant to be a techno remix/version of "Obscurité" but i ended up using only the arpeggio from the breakdown of the original and i even chose to play it in a different key as i felt it sounded better for "this version".
So in short this is a totally different track and not really a remix.

Monaberry's label boss, good old Herb, is back in business. The House multi-talent curates the latest Mona compilation – Herberts Best #8. Famous Monaberry artists and new faces from all over the world follow his call and deliver exquisite productions to grandpa Herbert.

Tim Engelhardt's contribution "Skin" is a deep hitting symphony of a cineastic atmosphere, rolling drums, crystal clear luminescent synths and captivating arpeggios. Mi.li.an's vocals enchantingly highlight the track's vibrant beat and the analog drive finally flows into bubbly extasy.

Just right after the release of his latest track on Monaberry Sobek pleases grandpa Herbert with "Camerlengo" – a gently evolving and hypnotically dragging track with some smacking groove that wraps around the floating framework and tickles your senses all at once.

Armonica, the charismatic duo from the dephts of Italy, put a mad peaktime track on the table. "Time" is just bursting with slightly dark synths and FXs. The energizing bass line and the vocals reduced to the essentials are literally pushing this track onto the global stage.

Another track is delivered by Sonic Future from Porto Alegre, Brazil. His artwork "Pontilismo" is full of vigorous rhythm, crisp synth variations and minimal 80ies flair that will knock your socks off. Especially the filter modulated chords carry you away to Alpha Centauri and fuse together with the beat into an embracing sound.

Luis Junior brings "Go Gech" into play, a rotating Detroit UFO made of technoid ruthlessness and deep groove. He successfully blends dramatic synth chords, vocal snippets, and striking FXs into a continuous storyboard with a break that will make your endorphins dance and pleases with a lovingly staged happy end.

Italian stallion Ivan Masa uses Afro House elements and sprinkles some melodic parts and softly playful groove to build the sound frame of "Nativity". Dense spaces and percussions merge into an ethno inspired work of art that will flow straight into your body and soul.

Ikarius & Dhakka join with "Salvation", a hypnotic production that catapults the audience into a next dimension with opulent synth chords and effects, crunchy claps and subtle toms. The track composition is indeed psychedelic and a powerful tool.
Ultimately, a compilation like this can only be brought into being by good old Herb himself. We bow to his wisdom and cannot wait for these seven gorgeous pieces.

PREMIERE: Tim Engelhardt - Skin Feat Mi.li.an (Original Mix) [monaberry]

Over the course of the last three plus decades, the German born DJ, musician and composer Marc Romboy has become synonymous with a soulful electronic music sound that has taken him all over the world. As well as releasing on only the most influential labels, from Innervisions to Cocoon and Kompakt to Senso Sounds, he is also the sole mastermind behind the influential Systematic Recordings label and has been since 2004.

Nowadays an album specialist, 2006 saw him release his debut album, the captivating „Gemini" whilst in 2017 Marc released his first listening long player called „Voyage de la planète“, a pure electronica album with classical music influence and later, in summer 2017 the live recording of his collaboration with the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra called „Reconstructing Debussy“, in cooperation with Boiler Room hit the stores.

Despite being a key player for so long, Marc is still as relevant as ever and remains right at the sharp end of electronic music. Proof of that comes in the form of his DJ schedule, which takes him from Fabric to Womb and Berghain to Rex, as well as to not one but three separate Boiler Room shows. All three proved Marc to be a dexterous performer who never relies on obviousness or gimmicks, instead telling truly musical stories that place dancers right at the heart of the action.
