We here at Watergate are extremely excited to bring you our next 12" release from a close friend of the club and producer extraordinaire, Alex Niggemann. For this EP Alex joined forces with the acclaimed voice from WhoMadeWho, Bon Homme, to create an incredibly warm and beautiful journey.

"Sorrow" is a masterfully crafted array of sound and emotion. While a big rolling kick and crisp hand claps drive the groove, a capricious arpeggio, warm piano chords and the smooth serenade of Bon Homme's vocals create an undeniably passionate excursion into the deeper moments one can
experience on the dance floor.

On remix duties we have two heavy hitters; the one and only Deetron and Watergate mainstay Marco Resmann. Up first is Deetron and he does exactly what he does best. A massive peak time revision that keeps the emotion of the original while adding his signature touch of shimmering synth loops and huge sub bass perfect for peak time club antics. 

Marco Resmann rounds out the release with his rendition of "Sorrow" creating a vast and psychotropic soundscape by using echoing atmospherics, washed out vocals and heavy, chugging drums.

Whether it's a late night in the club or a sun soaked afternoon with the sand between your toes, one of these three incredible versions will be the perfect selection for an unforgettable moment. "Sorrow" will be released on November 24, 2014.

Opening up the EP with ‘This Moment’, Devant has created a track that implores the listener to stop and take in all the vibrations, effects and melodies. This is a piece of music that intricately weaves together a hefty bass, curious sounds and an addictive horn. Pay close attention to ‘In Time’ and you will be absorbed once more in an enchanting world where all you can do is follow the rhythm of the drums. On the flip and Dinky adds her signature vocals, and hooky synth stabs creating a deep and textural remix of ‘This Moment’.

Over the course of the last three plus decades, the German born DJ, musician and composer Marc Romboy has become synonymous with a soulful electronic music sound that has taken him all over the world. As well as releasing on only the most influential labels, from Innervisions to Cocoon and Kompakt to Senso Sounds, he is also the sole mastermind behind the influential Systematic Recordings label and has been since 2004.

Nowadays an album specialist, 2006 saw him release his debut album, the captivating „Gemini" whilst in 2017 Marc released his first listening long player called „Voyage de la planète“, a pure electronica album with classical music influence and later, in summer 2017 the live recording of his collaboration with the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra called „Reconstructing Debussy“, in cooperation with Boiler Room hit the stores.

Despite being a key player for so long, Marc is still as relevant as ever and remains right at the sharp end of electronic music. Proof of that comes in the form of his DJ schedule, which takes him from Fabric to Womb and Berghain to Rex, as well as to not one but three separate Boiler Room shows. All three proved Marc to be a dexterous performer who never relies on obviousness or gimmicks, instead telling truly musical stories that place dancers right at the heart of the action.
